10.01.2022 We’re hiring again! We are looking for a 15-16 year old, preferably but not necessarily from Caba who is KEEN to work, not scared to get in and have a go and needs the work. When we say NEEDS the work, that means you NEED the money. The right person for the job will need to be available at least one shift on the weekend a few afternoon/evening shifts after school and holidays.... Behind the scenes it is fast paced and you have to be able to multitask. There is a lot of food prep and cleaning, there is always something to do. 01.01.2022 IT’S OUR 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! To celebrate our first year this Friday we will be selling $5 fresh juices and $10 açai bowls with all the trimmings.. This year has been a tough one for everyone, this virus has presented some serious challenges in just our everyday life let alone in business.. We know all the businesses in our beautiful little town are finding it tough making the rent and let’s face it,, sometimes just getting out of bed..... We would like to seriously thank all of our regular local customers for helping us keep our head just above the high tide mark, without you we would not be able to trade, it’s that simple.. our juices, açai, smoothies and deli fridge have kept us going when it’s raining or too cold for gelato. As most of you know our other side of our business @peace_of_cake_bakeries has been out of commission since COVID-19 hit, no markets, no restaurants ordering wholesale cakes or pastries, the Themeparks closed and now not ordering as they are operating at a fraction of the capacity,,, so the introduction of our deli fridge with the fresh bagels, toasted Turkish sandwiches and gluten free/vegan treats has helped out in a big way. For those that don’t know our story, we have both been in hospitality for 28 years each, as a chef and a pastry chef, we have worked our bums off to get where we are. . In that time we’ve had just about every type of challenge imaginable thrown at us, but nothing has hurt like this covid thing, just like anyone else the uncertainty is the worst part for us, not knowing what’s around the corner and forever trying to stay ahead of the next restriction. That just in business. We got into this line of work because we seriously get off on seeing people enjoy our food and we hope to be able to trade through this whole pandemic and keep on bringing smiles to our customers. From Aaron, Anne-Marie, Albert and Matilda, we can’t thank you enough for keeping our dream alive. Thanks again and as always, stay safe and look after each other.
