14.01.2022 To support volunteer firefighters, Uprise is donating 1 hour of mental health support for every hour that is donated. Any amount will help to provide this service. Thank you for your support. #bushfires #nswbushfires #mentalhealth https://www.gofundme.com/f/mental-health-support-for-volunt The bushfire emergency has become a national crisis over the past months. There are still 130 fires burning across the state, of which 54 are not yet contained.... At the frontline of this are the NSW Royal Fire Service, comprised mostly of volunteers who are under-resourced and overworked physically and mentally. These individuals continue to put their lives on the line while being exposed to ongoing traumatic events. For those of you who would like to contribute we are asking for funds to provide firefighting volunteers with access to free psychologist support. As volunteers have limited time to check in on their mental health, this will be provided over the phone to support their resilience and coping with the recent bushfires and related distress. For every $150 raised for 1 hour of mental health support from a registered psychologist, Uprise will donate 1 hour.
