25.01.2022 Its no secret that we use Michael and Bart Bellon NePoPo (R) system. And its a great system for creating reliable behaviours that the dog must perform and with its heart and soul. Well recently Ive embarked on the TWC journey with Ivan Balabanov. Im having a lot of fun learning again, even though I was far from mastering NePoPo. In some ways the systems are fundamentally different however in many ways they compliment each other quite well. And I find myself realising that maybe my interpretation of NePoPo needs some work also. I created these behaviours with NePoPo. And now Im introducing the possession games as taught by Ivan. Im back in the valley of despair in the Dunning/Kruger graph and loving it.... Never stop learning....

24.01.2022 What is better than one puppy? Two! We did an initial consult last night with both Diesel (6 month Rhodesian Ridgeback x Amstaff) and Stella (4 month English Staffy). It is critically important with puppies that we help show them that there is nothing to fear in the world. This is our first priority. ... We had a heap of fun with these two, we put together a socialisation plan, discussed the importance of play and then worked on some general obedience.

With so much drive and smarts it is so important to ensure that Lou gets genetic fulfilment each day or else we end up with drive leaking out everywhere. It was so much fun to do an initial consult with Lous owners to show how we can direct that drive and energy into productive activities like play and teaching new behaviours that challenge Lou to work out how to win.

19.01.2022 I am nearing completion of this course and highly recommend it. Ivan looks at dog training in a very different way. He studies the dog. He goes well beyond the simplistic, outdated, learning theory based approach utilised as the foundation for most training systems. I have been on many courses and seminars. No one has ever delivered a system so intrinsically connected with the relationship between dog and man than TWC. The course, although on line, has been very emersive and Ivan has been very generous with his time. I have been challenged, I have been humbled. I have learnt. If you are a serious dog trainer then you need to do this course.

09.01.2022 Seb the British Bulldog! Living up to his breed, he is a bit of a bully. Always barking and scratching at the door wanting to get inside or go outside. We put together a management plan to address the unwarranted behaviour but also included in the plan a big increase in the amount of play he is getting each day to give him genetic fulfilment as well as some exercises to help him use his brain.
