02.01.2022 Work is moving ahead fast out the front of the Bowlo and we are excited to unveil the name for our new space Christies Werri Beach. The space will be open to public, fingers crossed on the 1st of January. This space will showcase cocktails, shared seafood, Gelato, Beer Buckets & Much more. And yes the name does pay homage to the Great Captain William Christie who decided to swim from boat harbor to werri beach for a bottle of whisky in 1882. ... This is now celebrated every year byGerringong Surf Club as an ocean swim called Captain Christie where participants take on the 1.8km swim from Boat Harbor to Werri Beach. From the Board & all the staff at the Bowlo we wish you all Merry Christmas.
