24.01.2022 The Super Moon moonset was pretty super this morning

24.01.2022 (A slightly different post from me today but this has been upsetting me a great deal, sorry) I don’t like Fake News and people misleading others particularly for personal gain. This is exactly what the person who created this visual (i won’t tag or credit him) which has been making the rounds lately all over the internet. He claims that he wanted to illustrate the areas affected by the fires and that the scale was slightly exaggerated... Both explanations are rubbish an...d to prove it, @NickEvershed from The Guardian (Twitter) created another map using the same data with accurate scaling this time and this is what the reality looks like (2nd picture)... Misleading people to try to gain attention off the back of such a terrible tragedy is fundamentally wrong and this guy should be ashamed of himself but instead, he goes around demanding to be credited for it ... #bushfires #australia #disaster #fire #emergency #nasa #rant @badgalriri See more

23.01.2022 (2 of 2) So when the fires approached the Bilpin area before Christmas, naturally I was worried about what would happen to On New Years Day, we decided to drive the Bells Line of Road again Nothing could have prepared us for the level of devastation that was waiting for us there. The brave men and women of the NSW Rural Fire Service did an incredible job of saving a good number of properties that lined the road, sadly not all could be saved. Same goes for some of the beauti...ful orchards of the region which would have offered little resistance to the wall of fire. People’s entire livelihoods were wiped in minutes The devastation got worse and worse as we got further into the Blue Mountains. Kilometres after kilometres of burnt trees on either side of the road. The picture got worse as we stopped at a couple of view points on the way. From there, we could see well into the distance. What would normally have been a sea of dark green from the tree canopy had now been replaced by scorched earth, bare tree trunks and dead leaves, as far as the eye could see...It was utterly heartbreaking. These pictures are just a tiny window into what these fires have left behind. The estimates for the loss of animal lives so far is approaching 500 million dead 500 million A number that would take over 15 years to count out loud, non stop. The world needs to know what happened here. The world needs to know that THIS is what Climate Change looks like. It is already happening in Australia and it is happening now. We need to change, we need it now.

19.01.2022 I don’t often post @gopro images on my IG (haters will say I don’t often post on my IG full stop.) but when I do, it’s of @shay_tel and I getting up at stupid o’clock to go catch the sunrise on Sydney’s Harbour from our inflatable mega yacht... #sydneylife #yachtlife

18.01.2022 Good morning Sydney... @shay_tel and I out before dawn on our kayak to catch first light. #BestCityOnEarth

16.01.2022 (Post 1 of 2) Almost a year to the day, we took my wife’s parents to see the Blue Mountains which are high up the list of must-sees for anyone visiting Sydney. We’d stayed in a really cute B&B in the Kurrajong area so in order to go to the park the following day, we had to take the Bells Line of Road which goes through the small town of Bilpin instead of the regular route out of Sydney. By chance, it turned out to be a phenomenal road to drive on. I remember being mesmerised by how beautiful the area around Bilpin was, and discovered that it was famous for its many fruit orchards (apples, peaches, pears etc), cute houses and old school buildings lining the road, it was like you had stepped back in time. I remember feeling like I was in such a beautiful part of the world at that very moment in time (1 of 2)

16.01.2022 Part of the London Years - September 2009. The brief from the client was to capture celebs arriving to one of the London Fashion Week shows at the Old Sorting Office on New Oxford Street (I wonder what’s happened to that building?). This picture of Erin O’Connor stepping out of her car with effortless beauty stood out during the edit. Given that it was London Fashion Week, I wasn’t the only one with that particular brief on the day... It was a fun but hectic job, so much so that I ended up stepping on Boy George’s foot in the melee created by Manolo Blahnik’s arrival a little later... I miss those days. I mean, I kinda miss last month to be honest... I want things to get back to normal. This is awful... Stay safe, stay home peeps. xxx

15.01.2022 Yesterday was a good day... Creative collab with @scuderiagraziani Sydney. Thoroughly enjoyed walking around automotive royalty and spending time with Scuderia Graziani’s lovely team. Their F40 stole my heart though (my car of choice since age 7 or so). Is Supercar crowd funding a thing?... @ Scuderia Graziani

10.01.2022 This time last year we were on our way to Masai Mara, Kenya . Without a doubt one of the most incredible and humbling experiences of my life...

09.01.2022 Hey Bill Gates, can you please microchip me up soon so I can go travel again. Thanks. #tb #Cambodia

07.01.2022 2 of my absolutely favourite things in life, hanging out of a helicopter and LA........... (A telephone conversation earlier today reminded me of that time we chartered a R44 to fly around Downtown LA and the mighty Judge Harry Pregerson Interchange. We had a little time to kill before the light levels had dropped to where I really wanted them to be so the pilot suggested flying over LAX... Hells yes!!!! was probably my answer at the time. As we approached, there was just a big enough gap in the low cloud cover to allow us to peek through and see the runways and terminal. Unforgettable stuff. Can’t wait to land in LAX again soon when International travel resumes!)

07.01.2022 Just caught the ISS flying over @sydney @australia in front of a 99% Full Moon. I see you @spacex Crew Dragon Demo-2 (only, very very small ) Dare I say I’m... over the Moon about this one?! I’ve wanted to do this for years...

06.01.2022 Just a short walk from ours, a timeless tribute to Sydney Swans legend Adam Goodes was added to the Surry Hills landscape today. By @apparitionmedia on the corner of Crown and Foveaux. @timeoutsydney @guardianaustralia @afl @sydneyswans

06.01.2022 Throwback when traveling was a thing... Never thought I’d ever be so close to someone actually lighting up a dynamite stick...... . . . .... . . (OG description - from another post circa 2017: A miner lights up a fuse before blowing up a section of rock in a silver mine, Potosi, Bolivia. Seconds after this picture was taken, we made a dash for it in the opposite direction, waiting for the blast. I didn't quite know what to expect but when each of the 17 sticks of dynamite went off one by one, it felt somewhat muffled and yet every single bit of rock around us was vibrating with each explosion. A truly incredible experience but a sobering one at that. The conditions these guys work in are extreme. All of that hard work brings in a monthly salary about 50% above the National average (approx $400 a month) but the health costs are significant, a miner will rarely make it past age 50... #Bolivia #Potosi #Mine #Silver #work #dynamite #underground #wanderlust #travelphotography #shaygregaroundtheworld) See more
