15.01.2022 Toilet seat raisers and shower chairs are $99. So far we have raised enough funds to potentially buy 5 of those to benefit the over 65+ category who get no funding from the NDIS and have to pay for it out of their own pocket. 06.01.2022 We are almost half way there! Just a few facts on MND and why we need to raise money to help those affected... Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is the name given to a group of diseases in which the nerve cells (neurones) controlling the muscles that enable us to move around, speak, swallow and breathe fail to work normally and eventually die. With no residual muscles or strength, MND patients are left motionless, mute, and trapped within their once active bodies. Can you imagine b...eing trapped inside your own body no longer able to move, or speak to your loved ones with your mind and intellect still intact? The patterns of weakness and rate of progression vary from person to person, and while some people can live a long time with MND, the average life expectancy is 27 months from diagnosis. And approximately 58% of those people with MND are under the age of 65!

05.01.2022 Did you know that a donation of $100 can go towards the hire of an iPad for someone who has MND in its final stages and no longer has the ability of speech to be able to communicate with their family. This gift alone can mean so much to a family already struggling with this dreaded disease and help make their life that little bit easier. It helps take some of the stress away from the person with MND as they are still able to communicate with their loved ones when they can no longer say I love you out loud https://www.mycause.com.au/page/216582/gfp-move-for-mnd
