G&G’s certification is for our CAT 793D Roll-Over Protective Structure & Falling Object Protective Structure (ROPS/FOPS). Using Strenx 960 to offer a solution for increased operator protection required on these machines when converted to a float, low loader or tow truck configuration. Below is an Hitachi EX3600 which was brought in for a lip replacement and capacity increase. Our client had this 15m3 bucket sitting around whilst using the rest of their buckets which are 18m3. 13.01.2022 As we all came to terms with the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a huge impact on our day to day lives and in many situations there have been extreme changes to the way businesses operate and people interact. With all the changes and safety implementation to keep everyone safe, we as a business at G&G have also taken on many positives from this situation and implemented some of our changes as improvements within the way our business operates going forward. Given an extended life and ready to be productive again are a 34m3 Letourneau 2350 Loader bucket and a 16.5m3 Hitachi EX3600 Backhoe bucket. Between them they have undergone full NDT testing of the structures, old lips, GET and wear packages removed and replaced, as well as the 2350 having the whole rock guard replaced w...ith a new Hardox 450 fabricated assembly. 12.01.2022 G&G has been refurbishing and overhauling equipment for mining companies for almost 30 years. Below is a recently received EX5500 Face Shovel Bucket, both the clam and backboard have been brought in for a full refurbishment, but before this commences a full scope must be developed for our client in the Pilbara. Our team must fully strip the bucket, pull off the worn wear package, check all the underlying critical structural welds and ensure a smooth surface for NDT inspection... and testing. This will identify any extensive cracking that needs repair before a new wear package can be fitted.
