14.01.2022 RIP Jon English. Attached is a photo of Jon and I at the launch of Jon's first Album "Wine Dark Sea" on which I had produced his first No 1 record "Turn the Page" and some other tracks - I'm pretty sure it was Jons idea to have the girl jump out of the cake - he will be sadly missed especially by his large and loving family - a great character and a lot of fun who apart from being very talented contributed significantly to Australian music and entertainment especially with his mentoring of the younger generations - fondly remembered and greatly missed - rest gently mate.

06.01.2022 G.Wayne Thomas Biography G. Wayne Thomas was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and spent his early years from a very young age boarding at Timaru Boys High in the South Island. Due to his mother’s poor health, the family later moved to Christchurch, where he attended Cashmere High. Here he joined the school band and played First 15 rugby, subsequently being selected to play for Canterbury in several divisions up to under 19s, and for the schoolboy side that toured Fiji. 03.01.2022 Peter sent a message about G.Wayne’s Crystal Voyager album...Saw Pink Floyd in London in the 80's and they played part of the film during the show. Amazing!! Love this music! Best wishes from Bristol . Thanks Peter... CD is in the mail.
02.01.2022 Thanks Ralph Plen who recently purchased the "Self Titled" CD from our shop and sent this great review of a classic 1970s pop album..... "I think the liner notes pretty much say it all, it all does hang on the high vocal, the guitar (at times i hear cat stevens in the guitar execution and his producer, Paul Samwell-Smith, in the bass notation). The string arrangements sit outside of that and are a hugely complementary part of the overall sound. Who did the string arrangemen...ts? And the ensemble? Particularly on the Kristofferson track, and there are other parts of the vocal, that seem reminiscent, almost a Glen Campbell country feel in the approach. And then there is content which showcases a voice similarly pitched to Leo Sayers. All of which the artist will probably take exception to. Tough!! But it is not an album of parts, it does have continuity of style and production (altho i probably wud not have included the Mandy track). All in all a good album, and one that deservedly has a life span past it's original production and promotion. And after all who is listening to Sherbet's Slipstream now? Regards R." Thanks again Ralph.
02.01.2022 Got a message from Finland the other day. I asked Mikko Lindstrom's permission to publish the letter here. "I just got married last saturday so I've been a bit occupied. I did check that site and watched that video. I share same thoughts about that music. It is very unique blend of progressive heavy rock and jazz riffs. Their mood and feelings are unique. Same time they are very relaxed and full of joy but still there lingers sadness about whats happening to nature and respe...ct to the sea. Musically I really enjoy the rolling wild touch of drummers, long bendy guitar work with very intense and distinctive riffs. Alltogether Tamam Shud and G. Wayne Thomas both have music where every part is where they should be. Everyone is hitting the notes together and the beat is very strong and waving like the sea. What I'm wondering the most is: Where did their inspiration come from? Was it the close touch with nature and living so close to earth? I've tried to mimic those guitarists and rhytms since I first heard them about ten years ago. When I got time I'm going to upload a video of me playing one of my compositions with acoustic guitar. See if you can tell my infuelnces :)" Thanks Mikko....I wonder what other countries in the world where they are still listening to G.Wayne's tunes.
