23.01.2022 There is a workshop being held by Victoria Police in conjunction with the African Australians Community Taskforce from 8th May, known as HER VOICE Strengthening African Women and Families workshops. The four weeks train the trainer program aims to strengthen African womens relationships within families and to encourage respectful communications between parents and their children. The workshops will take place on Wednesday from 10.00am -12.30pm across two sites.... 13.01.2022 We payed tribute to a great Ghanaian statesman, the late Mr Kofi Atta Annan, where we proudly displayed our amazing culture and traditions. It is a great honour to be part of this historic occasion. We would like to thank all the GAV Executives and the entire team for their tireless efforts in organising the signing of the condolence book as well as the memorial service. The GAV Executives, would like to thank the Ghana Association's Cultural Group, the MC, singers and all th...e volunteers for their contributions and all those who supported the event behind the scenes and the guest speakers and guests who attended. 09.01.2022 As a way to commemorate the great achievements of our Leader Mr Kofi Atta Annan we are presenting a Condolence book for everyone to sign on behalf of the Ghana High Commission. The Book will be passed on to the Ghana High Commissioner, which will be given to The State of Ghana and they will present it to Kofi Annan's Family. We wish to thank and acknowledge the generous support of the State Library Victoria and the Victoria Multicultural Commission in making this happen.

08.01.2022 Applications for the African Australian Inclusion Program (AAIP) with National Australia Bank are now open! The AAIP provides six months of paid, supported work experience at NAB for qualified African-Australians who are facing barriers in finding work in their chosen field due to a lack of local experience. There are 41 roles available across Victoria and NSW, including four branch network roles in outer metro areas in NSW.
