24.01.2022 Queensland Seniors Week 2019 is just around the corner (17 25 August) and to celebrate with the Seniors of Nicklin Marty Hunt will be hosting a Seniors event. On Friday 16 August at 1.45pm he will host an event at the Majestic Cinemas in Nambour. This event will include afternoon tea and a special screening of the new Australian movie ‘Palm Beach’ at 2.20pm. Unfortunately there are only 50 tickets to give away so you will need to act fast! If you are interested in join...ing Marty and you are a Senior in the Nicklin Electorate please email his office at [email protected] or call 5406 4100 to register your interest in a ticket. 15.01.2022 Andrew from Moy Pocket is super excited about running Yoga classes. He recently returned from India where he spent an extended period of time. First class commences at 9am - 19th September at the Gheerulla Hall, where Andrew would like to sit down and talk about what everyone would like in a yoga class. Please share around do we can get a good group...... Classes will be $15 and will go for approximately 90mins.

Our lovely Claire is back in the area after a little globetrotting!! Many thanks to Alison and Kirrilee who were tireless in keeping us going! 13.01.2022 At this year’s tree planting day, We will be planting a number of native plants along the Eumundi- Kenilworth fenceline . The site will ready for planting and all tools provided. Just come with gardening gloves, wear a hat and suitable clothing for a couple of hours. Bring the children and enjoy the outdoors. A great chance to enjoy the sunshine. Sunscreen and water will be provided. A BBQ lunch will follow.... So let’s get planting

04.01.2022 Please see the flyer below Gheerulla Tennis Club is holding a Come and Play Switch Tennis Family Day. Adults and children court time will be scheduled separately. If you or your child/children wish to attend, you will need to register by Monday, 1st July. I have attached a copy of the Entry Form which can be emailed to Carita Parker or handed in to Robyn at the Post Office. Adults $15.00 (includes lunch) and Children $5.00 (includes lunch).... 03.01.2022 Sunshine Coast Landscape Band SUNSHINE COAST LANDSCAPE BAND WILL BE COMING TO GHEERULLA HALL ON SUNDAY20TH OCTOBER at 5.30pm... This will be their 6th and final concert after Kureelpa , Montville, Yandina, Mooloolah, and Landsborough. The band have been well received at the other halls so far. The band includes well known Sunshine Coast Musicians Noel Gardner, John Roy Wright , Derek Foster, Steve Lake, Tom Nealson, Adrien Powell and Michael Whittaker as sound engineer. Ian Mackay will be narrator for the event and reciting poetry. The support band will be the local Kenilworth group The Misties led by Trish Cole and Kathleen and Steve Dennis. The tour is sponsored by the Sunshine Coast Council. Tickets will be $15/ adult $5/child and$35/ family available on line trybooking.com/eventlist/landscapebandtour or at the door. DVDs and programmes will be available at $5 each.
