24.01.2022 Such a privilege to work on this beautiful retro steel tourer, converted to a modern 1x drivetrain, raised up the handlebar with a @crustbikes stem and fitted some Vittoria tyres to round out the package. Thanks again Sharon, we hope the bike is all you wanted.

24.01.2022 Matt and his beloved Salsa El Mariachi have seen some action over the years, and the old girl is still going strong, now with the help of Sean from @killenbike We've been able to attach some braze ons, Surly 8 pack rack and Wald basket to make the transition into commuter duties. 16.01.2022 *Please take note* We are allowed to be open (for now) as we provide a service for essential workers who commute and people that are riding for mental health (don’t forget to look after that too). We are still functioning fairly normally with a few adjustments that, provided we all stick to, we can safely continue to do so: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1) maintain social distance; call before visiting and talk to us through the workshop roller door when dropping off / picking up.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2) No browsing please. If you need to purchase something from the shop, let us know - we’ll grab it for you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3) Practice good hygiene - you and your bike! Wash your hands and use the hand sanitizer before you hand over your bike and please sanitize the contact points of your bike before bringing it in. We’ll also give it a thorough wash once received and a wipe down sanitize when it leaves the shop. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 4) Don’t come in if you’re sick. Any type of sick. Stay at home and rest. We’ll still be here when you’re feeling better. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE DON’T TAKE UNNECESSARY RISKS. We make money from fixing your bike after a crash but hospitals definitely don’t need otherwise healthy people choking the system because they’ve ridden outside of their ability. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hang in there and be nice to each other. 03.01.2022 GGB custom: Will’s Bombtrack arise2 XS (measures closer to a S). Will was given the Paul Components seatpost but didn’t have a bike to fit it so this bike was built to find a home for a nice seatpost and use up a few ‘parts bin’ bits he had. ~~~~~~ An on special, Arise 2 was the chassis bike of choice. ~~~~~~... Drivetrain: It comes stock as a single speed (versatile with sliding dropout!) but Will had an old 9sp drivetrain and a bar end shifter off another retired commuter that went straight on. 165mm dura ace cranks came from Maisey’s deep parts bin on a gentleman’s agreement and the Paul chain-spy Will had on another bike but was needed on this and shimmed to fit - the old deore derailleur doesn’t have great retention! ~~~~~~ Cockpit: Stock handlebars. TRP levers. Simworks 90mm stem - swapped from Maisey. Spur cycle ding-a-ling - mostly gets used on the Fernleigh. Maybe some patterned woven tape on the way. ~~~~~~ Seating: Brooks Cambium. Paul components Tall and Handsome. Hope clamp. ~~~~~~ Wheels: Stock - pretty good so far! Panaracer GK SK 43mm - Hard to beat for gravel tyres. (About as wide as this frame fits) ~~~~~~ Extras: Odessey Linear Slick cable housings - Improved break response for any mechanical disc brakes! Vintage Japanese bottle cage on a wolftooth B-RAD adjustable bottle mount - so he can fit his frame bag in that little frame. @ Ghost Gum Bikes See more

When we look back on Covid (hopefully soon!), we’ll remember how quiet the roads were and how many people were staying healthy and positive by riding riding their bikes! Keep pedaling and positive.
