25.01.2022 Our year 6's had their graduation ceremony yesterday. Congratulations to all our wonderful year 6 students and all staff. A special congratulations to all the award winners!! What year did you graduate from Gibbs Street Primary School?

It could be anything from providing past photos/uniforms/stories, to holding a stall or offering some kind of entertainment. We are happy to consider all options. 17.01.2022 Today marks our first day of our 50th year. We have nearly 600 students and 60 staff members this year with an average of 70 students per year group. As you can see from the photo, the original building is still being used today. However, we have had to extend the school considerably over the years to cater for our ever expanding numbers.

14.01.2022 Welcome everyone to Gibbs Street Primary School's 50th anniversary. On Monday, we will officially have our first day of our Golden Year. Please share our page with anyone who has previously or currently attended, worked at or has a connection to our school so they can follow our celebrations and share some history. Anyone is welcome to post relevant content to this page but we do ask that you have permission from the original owner or if photos, the people in them. 07.01.2022 Today was the first event of our 50th year. We organised a special fotomovie to be taken this morning of our students and staff. If you would like to see the finished product, please keep the 26th March free where we will be hosting a movie night and screening our fotomovie for the first time

05.01.2022 Gibbs Street Primary School was opened in 1971 on an old dairy and pig farm. Western House was the original residential house with the Western Family residing there after the school had opened. 2021 marks the 50th year of Gibbs Street Primary School and to celebrate we have decided to have a year of festivities and our major celebration of a School Fair late in the year.
