23.01.2022 Disappointed is an understatement. After sending out emails to everyone registered last season (about 180 children) and our campaign to get people to join, we still only had 4 people at tonight's meeting to keep the Club going. 2 of those travelled from Deepwater and we had 3 who couldn't attend, not enough to fill positions. So as of today, the Glen Innes and District Football Association ceases. It is sad that parents do not have the passion to keep Junior Football going... for those who love it. And that's why we do it, FOR THE CHILDREN. It's for them to get out, have fun, make new friends and get a little exercise while doing something they enjoy! To experience what we had as kids. To play sport. We have paved the way for improved fields, new canteen facilities and new things on field. The new committee would get the full backing of the old committee to help them in every way. It's such a shame to see all the improvements go to waste. If in the future, someone wants to get a committee together, they can contact the Public Officer, Preston Parkes to arrange a meeting. Thanks to all those parents over the years who have supported our little club

14.01.2022 Please have your say on the Glen Innes Public Schools proposal to cut back on knock out sports. This will be detrimental to all town sports as well! We should be encouraging our children to represent our town as much as possible at school and at town/state/country level. It’s not just about sport, it’s all the social and emotional learning, resilience building, team cohesion and team spirit. They should be encouraging all sporting opportunities, not limiting them!! The GIPS P&C President's comments are below. They have rejected the proposal whole heartedly. You only have until this Friday 3pm to vote!!

08.01.2022 A little video from past President Tracey If only everyone thought the way you do! Here's hoping a committee will be formed
