22.01.2022 Beardies Blarney... Discover the Beardies... Don't forget to claim your 'Dine & Discover' vouchers from Services NSW - they're valid until the 30th June, so whatever you do, don't let them wither away. We have a solution! The Land of the Beardies is registered to accept the 'Discover' vouchers, so call in on the hill when in Glen, have a great time discovering the many fascinating things on display and leave knowing that the funds have gone to a VERY appreciative home. Can't make it to Glen for a visit and don't have an alternative home for the vouchers? You may like to consider donating them, thereby providing invaluable assistance to the Beardies in maintaining and developing the museum for the next 50 years. Diolch.

13.01.2022 Hunt the Wren Hunt the Wren is one of the most interesting Manx traditions, still practiced on the Isle of Man today. On St Stephen’s Day (26th December) communities come together across the Isle of Man to dance and sing around the streets. The practice, dating back to pre-Christian times is centred on a wren. A replica wren is hunted and then danced through the streets on a special pole. In the Museum there are 10 pictures of an Isle of Man wren. (As above) Alongside them is information about the Isle of Man. See if you can find all 10 wrens and learn about life on the Isle
