25.01.2022 Horseland Midland now stock a large range of Lemieux products, and are our favourite for saddle blankets. We have used them for quite a few years now and the fit and durability are amazing. A couple of our go to products are the Pro-sorb saddle blanket and the Pro-safe head collars. The Pro-sorb blanket is lined with a Bamboo lining, so soft even for the most sensitive horse (Joe being one). They are light, breathable, easy to wash in the machine and last ages. They also have a reinforcing where the girth points and stirrup leather sit. The Pro-sorb pads are quick and easy to change they come with an extra set of thinner pads for the perfect fit. Definitely a stable favourite!

24.01.2022 We installed our arena lighting supplied by Uneek LEDs last year and love them. They make life so much easier, trying to fit riding in during daylight hours can sometimes be difficult. These lights are super easy to install, we did it ourselves. With no running costs or digging trenches for electrical cable. A great a company to deal with, they are happy to answer any questions and design lighting to suit individual needs.

22.01.2022 We are excited to announce that the information for the Horseland Young Horse Championship event is now up on Global!!! An exciting new concept has been intro...duced where our young horse entries will be filmed doing their competition round, and these videos then sent to selected judges around the country and the world for judging!! Please read the information sheet carefully as everything you need to know about the filming day is there. The event is listed under showjumping for the Swan River showjumping club and the information sheet is under the important documents tab (you may not be able to see this if you are in the app) Please note - this event on global is only applicable for those entering the young horse style classes and who are required to attend the filming day on the 5th September. A separate event will be created for the gala weekend on the 3rd & 4th October and loaded on global in the near future!!

21.01.2022 GI JOE 26/09/2003 - 08/07/2020 Today we said goodbye to my hero. A horse that has taken me to the highest level in our sport and always with such confidence in his own ability. He always knew how good he was from the time he entered the arena or start box, there was never a doubt in his mind or mine and never a challenge too big. He loved what he did, his expression and enthusiasm telling us so. I guess that is what makes a champion!... From the cheeky bucks in the dressage, falling off the truck tailgate halfway across Australia, giving us all an occasional kick for good measure, this was all a part of our Joe and we loved him for it. The word journey gets thrown around a lot but that is exactly what we have had for the last 10 years and I feel very privileged it was me who got to steer him around and form a super partnership and bond with him. There are so many experiences Joe has given us, with the opportunity to compete at Adelaide 2*, my first 3*, and the amazing road trips only the Nullabor can give, all with amazing friends and family. These experiences I will remember always. He had come back from a near catastrophic shoulder injury in 2018 to win at his first SJ competition 10 months later and then to watch Riley and Joe compete and place 2nd at EITP 2019 was such an emotional highlight after such an injury. Zane and I were looking forward to sharing the ride this year, but it wasn’t to be. Unfortunately, he couldn’t come back from this one and I thank Rachael Smith and all the staff at Murdoch for all their efforts, I am truly grateful. Our family are so thankful he came into our stable and thank all the people who have supported Joe along the way. He will be missed always

17.01.2022 Wooroloo weekend was a good one for GI Eventing. "Ready Or Not" was on best behaviour in the dressage scoring 25.6 pens and winning the Mitavite/Hygain prize. He jumped a green but willing SJ round for one rail and clear jumping XC, with some time due to the slippery ground and wanting a confident run. "War Machine" and Riley made some big improvements in the dressage, showing some lovely movements and with a few more outings he will only get better. A really brave XC for th...eir second run in 1* adding a few time and a nice SJ round to finish off. 16.01.2022 The boys out at Southside Show Jumping Training day. A beaut atmosphere to take the young horses and give them a little look at what goes on. Both young horses were super, Eddie (chestnut) having his first go at 90cm and only one rail and Cooper (bay) the baby at 4yo doing 3 super rounds and showing lots of promise. War Machine jumping 2 clear rounds in the 1.0m. 16.01.2022 I thought the boys could do with a bit of dressage. So yesterday we went off to the Gidgegannup Dressage Clubs competition day. Both were on best behaviour and managed to come home with some ribbons. GI War Machine (Arnie) 3rd in the 2B with 68% and 5th in a massive 1B class with 73% Winning the highest place OTT... GI Ready Or Not (Eddie) was super in the 1B to finish 3rd on 75%. 15.01.2022 Murray ODE was a terrific way to wrap up the Eventing season with Riley and GI War Machine on a roll with a win in the CNC 1*J class and highest placed OTT, a dressage score of 27.0 pens was a super way to begin the weekend, they added .4 time on the XC and a clear SJ round. Arnie has really matured in the last few events and we couldn’t be happier with his progress this year. GI Ready Or Not placed 3rd in the 80 OTT, a nice test for 29.1, clear SJ, we had a couple of slip...pery moments XC so we took it easy and added 3.2 time penalties, but a good run all the same. The event was a pleasure to compete at and well run by the friendly committee. 13.01.2022 GI War Machine and GI Ready Or Not were on best behaviour for the Swan River Horse Trials on the weekend. The grounds were amazing and the live stream added excellent viewing all weekend. Arnie and Riley getting a PB in the J1* class with a dressage score of 33.8, a chilled test and only a little hiccup near the end costing them a few marks. ... They added a 1.6 time in the SJ (which seemed to be common over most classes) in a beaut round and jumped a super XC round to finish in 3rd place and highest place horse Off The Track Eddie and I picked up 2nd place in the OTT 80 class. With a handy dressage score of 28.8. 10.01.2022 Thank you to Horseland Midland and Bates Saddles for the opportunity to be one of the first riders to own the new Bates Artiste Dressage Saddle. We have been on the hunt for quite a while to find a saddle that fits Warzone and myself. Warzone has proven to be quite difficult to saddle fit, after trying many saddles the Bates Artiste with Cair panels seemed to mould to his shape allowing free movement through his shoulders without movement of the saddle. This has been a huge ...problem up until now! The close contact fit makes this an extremely comfortable saddle, enabling excellent leg position. I would suggest to anyone who is having saddle fitting issues or anyone just wanting a close contact, comfortable dressage saddle to give the Artiste a try.

09.01.2022 We made our way to Dryandra last weekend for a bit of show jumping. Managing to stay dry and watching some super rounds of jumping. GI War Machine picked up a couple of placings in the 105cm and 110cm classes, jumping some nice rounds over the two days. Great weekend, including some laughs at the "local" for dinner with a very entertaining waitress! 09.01.2022 GI Ready Or Not picked up the win in the Eva 80 OTT class at Brigadoon on the weekend. Finishing on his dressage score of 28.1. He was surprisingly sure footed in the wet conditions and happily cantered around the jumping phases. We couldn’t be more pleased with him so far in his first competition season. GI War Machine delivered another dressage PB of 30.8, Arnie is more chilled through the tests now and with 4 SJ penalties to add and a super XC round, finished 3rd and 2nd... highest placed OTT in the CCN 1*J class. 09.01.2022 GI War Machine (Arnie) upgraded to his first 1* at Gidge on the weekend. He cruised around the cross country, only adding a few time penalties and had a couple of soft rails in the SJ but so happy with the round and showing promise for the upper levels. He won the dressage warm up but he needs to chill a bit during the test. I’m sure it will all come together. 08.01.2022 The best way to save money on a horse's nutrition is to feed high quality feed. This will save on the numerous supplements we "love" to add, but is not necessary when the right feed is matched to the horse, taking into consideration current work load and roughage available. Nutrikey is a great way to do this, check it out and see if you can save $ but give your horse better nutrition.

05.01.2022 Sometimes we need a little extra control when out and always grab the Pro-safe head collar. These are padded over the poll and nose and can be used with or without the chain. They fit well and are adjustable from both sides, with a clip for ease of use to put on and off. There is plenty of Lemieux products in store at Horseland Midland and they are doing regular orders to Lemieux so if they don't have it in store, just ask the girls.
