25.01.2022 Well what a day, really unpleasant weather. Anyway still enjoyed the day and sights, not letting it get to us.



25.01.2022 Today we moved a little closer to our kids in Adelaide. Drove from Mount Gambier to Murray Bridge. Drove through the Coonawarra and Padthaway Wine regions and then hit the hay and lucern farms. Lots of strong wind on the road.

23.01.2022 Drove today to the mining town of Whyalla. Did some driving around, will do more tomorrow.

23.01.2022 (Part 3) Point Lowly



23.01.2022 It was another long ride today but John did it in his stride. We got to Coober Pedy safely. Driving through the SA outback reminded us so much of Mount Aida and surrounds.

22.01.2022 (Part 3). Return to camp, dinner and sunset.

21.01.2022 (Part 2), overnight at Kulgera Roadhouse.



19.01.2022 (Part 1) Did some tours and sightseeing today in Coober Pedy, had a delicious lunch and dinner. Drove out to Kanke National Park to look at moon plains and breakaway- what an awesome sight.

18.01.2022 Kangaroo Island. Today we drove to Cape Borda, then into the Flinders Chase National Park to see Admirals Arch, Weirs Cove and the remarkable Rocks. Good sightseeing and outing today.

17.01.2022 Drove through the Coffin Bay National Park today, another windy and cold day.

17.01.2022 Today was a long and hard haul, lots of front and side wind which made the going tuff but John did a great job and got us safely to Moonta after a gruelling 7hours with stops.

17.01.2022 (Part 1) Started out with sunrise, then turned cloudy and ended up raining all day, still had a good day sight seeing. Went on board the HMAS Whyalla as guided tour, then a model railway which was really very impressive, then drive out to Point Lowley.



17.01.2022 So finally made it to Mount Isa. Feeling tired as have been driving longer hours through some boring scenery. Road stretches out in front for miles on an end. Stopped at Wycliffe Well for overnight, checked out Devils Marbles, refueled at Annatjere and final overnight at Barkly Homestead.

15.01.2022 (Part 2) Coober Pedy

14.01.2022 Drove around the 12km base of Uluru today, what an amazing and gob smacking experience. Then went onto the Kata Tjuta for some more beautiful sights.

14.01.2022 Now in Adelaide with our kids and grandson. Tomorrow we leave for further sight seeing and camping with them. Gonna be awesome!

13.01.2022 (Part 1)Driving around Kangaroo island today, popped into some beaches, wine cellar, then a sheep diary which had closed down, honey farm, lighthouse and to top it off some seals lazing around the wharf.

12.01.2022 Rained the whole night at Ayers Rock resort last night. Decided to take one last journey around the base of Uluru to see what it offers in this weather, was quite a pleasant surprise.

12.01.2022 Kangaroo Island. Last day yesterday. Went to stokes bay, Snelling and western bend river. Today we got on the ferry back to Aldinga Beach. Said goodbye to our beloved kids and grandchild to continue on our journey, rather a heart sore moment as we have shared many great experiences on this trip.

12.01.2022 Whyalla (Part2)

09.01.2022 Did a drive from Moonta to Tanunda, had lots of wind and was a very difficult drive. Rain shower this arvo whilst wine tastings and is raining at the moment, probably for the rest of the night. (Part 1)

09.01.2022 Well today was one of those days. Had a wind and sand storm last night so we both didnt sleep much. Got up at 9:14 after some sleep in and then did some sightseeing. Went to Fayes underground home and mine. Had some sundaes and waffles with ice cream. Then did the revival underground church which led to the tour of the underground Comfort Inn. Topped off with chicken and lamb sovlaki from the outback Bar and Grill for dinner.

08.01.2022 Took some time out on house maintenance today and went to the waterpark so the grandsons could have some fun.

08.01.2022 Travelled from Kulgera the Ayers Rock Resort to see the mighty Uluru everyone talks about and wow what a sight and experience. So glad we stopped here.

08.01.2022 Finally in Alice Springs tonight. Even did a bit of towing today as was a lovely day with little to no wind.

07.01.2022 (Part 2). Kanke National Park show casing the moon on plains and breakaways

06.01.2022 Went to Innes National Park, what an awesome trip, so beautiful over there.

06.01.2022 Decided to make our way from getting off the ferry to Port Augusta on route to Coober Pedy.

06.01.2022 Sorry couldnt post anything yesterday as no signal. We are now in Northern Territory. Had a good long ride yesterday but was interesting to watch the change in scenery. (Part1)

05.01.2022 Left the Barossa Valley at 6:00sm this morning after packing up and hitching in rain. Had tough conditions, lots of rain and wind. Got on the ferry to kangaroo island at Cape Jervis, put up camp at Kingscote tourist park and took a drive to Emu Bay.

04.01.2022 Tasted some wine today and purchased Merlot, to warm up. Also bought fresh oysters and did some Kilpatrick style - yummy!

04.01.2022 Today we saw sea lions up close, what an amazing experience. Then koala in their natural habitat and even one came down from the tree to walk within metres of us. It was an awesome day. (Part 1)

02.01.2022 Went to the Moonta museum and did the train ride through the old Moonta Copper Mine and then off to the old Church which is still being used today. Then looked at at Moonta Bay and Port Hughes beaches.
