23.01.2022 We have received a few requests for bags this Christmas for lots of mens. Please keep in mind things for men for any donations. We will be aiming to hand over these bags in the first week of December. Please remember this will be our last Christmas drive so lets make this a fabulous one.

22.01.2022 We became a registered charity 1 year ago today. Unfortunately due to COVID our Christmas in July had to be cancelled, but it would be great in honour of this anniversary it would be great if everyone could do something nice for an elderly Nursing home resident, friend, or neighbour. We dont have to break the social distancing rule to still bring a smile. Thankyou all for being part of our Grannies family. Stay safe

20.01.2022 And welcome to 2020 grannies family. Its time to get back into things. We will be doing a Christmas in july with the focus on toiletries. So things to look out for nice soaps, powders, perfumes, after shave, shaving gear, toiletry bags, face washers, towels.

19.01.2022 I just wanted to touch base with everyone. I know at this time the Grannies team should be working on something for our residents, but for the Grannies team our day jobs have us working overtime doing our best to keep COVID out of the facilities and supporting the staff looking after the residents. There is however so much you can do, find a local nursing home and write letters, get your kids to draw pictures maybe call and get email addresses to scan as most wont let you in. If we think outside the box you will find there are still little ways to let them know they are not alone. We will keep working hard on the frontline, and you can make a small gesture to help bring a smile Stay safe everyone and stay home

17.01.2022 So this is one of the headphones we have got for our Christmas gifts. These headphones take micro sd cards. If you still wanting to help out we still need micro SD cards. And if you want to download some legally sourced music that would be amazing. All different types of music from jazz, to classics, to rock n roll, to opera and everything in between.

15.01.2022 Due to COVID-19 causing inflated prices and the panic buying causes lack of stock we will postpone our Christmas in July. We will aim to do a big Christmas drive to make up for this. 14.01.2022 Another amazing donation from a beautiful lady. These items are perfect for our bags. It is with a heavy heart that this Christmas will be the last gift drive for our Grannies charity. COVID has meant the grannies team have been working extra hard to keep our residents safe. It unfortunately leaves little time to be able to put into our little charity. And our residents deserve more than that. I will be going back to where this began and continue to make a few bags with my ...kids each year for a local nursing home. To help our legacy live on I ask that you adopt a resident or a local nursing home and together we can contunue to make a difference. It doesnt have to be much, just something small to show you care. Thankyou to every one who has supported us, together we can make our last Christmas drive the biggest and best one yet. Thanks again to every one in our Grannies family

07.01.2022 Last year we struggled to find a bird book so I grabbed these when I found them. This months wish list is special interest books or magazines. Country and western was a common interest last year.

Whilst we may not be active on this page a whole lot, we are always active in our lives doing the best we can to help all nursing home residents. Dont forget our Christmas in July drive. We are looking for nice toiletries.

05.01.2022 Only 8 weeks until we hand out our Christmas gift bags. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh For those of you with kids we are after Christmas cards made by kids. I got my boys classes to make these last year and the residents LOVED them, but my boys are now high school so its not cool to make Christmas cards any more . We are hoping for at least 100 cards this year. Please comment or PM us if you can help out
