23.01.2022 Now that it's finally December, we can pull out all the Christmas decorating, activities and art. The other day we made a Christmas themed playdough with a nice peppermint festive smell. We also created Christmas wreaths. Some of our younger children experimented with the glue, favouring fingers rather than the brush to spread it out! The children used different green paper, cellophane and sparkles to enhance their creations. When we were done, some suggested sticking them on the door, so the educators gave them some tape so they could attach them.
22.01.2022 We love to make jungle with our lego and found all the different jungle animals together.
20.01.2022 Yesterday we did a collaborative piece of art. It started with handprints and then the kids had a go using their feet, slipping and sliding and enjoying the feel between their toes. EYLF: 1.1, 3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 5.3
14.01.2022 Today we created mini popstick trees that the children painted and decorated. Check out those fine motor skills at work to manipulate the brushes and carefully place those pom poms!
13.01.2022 We love gluing, yesterday we were watching rain and the clouds so we were making clouds and today we made special cards.
10.01.2022 Last day of vacation program- ended very messy. Had foam every where and children loved the activity. Some said it feels soft and some said look like a marshmallow, some said its cold and feels wet, some said they felt like shaving their beard , here are some photos of today.
06.01.2022 On Tuesday the staff and other children were fortunate enough to watch some fine art in our centre. A table got turned onto its side and transformed into a puppet stage for a play. EYLF: 1.2, 3.1, 4.1, 5.1, 5.3
