24.01.2022 Reaching our Community This morning Butterflies went to more letter drops in our neighbourhood. The first letter was a reply to our lovely neighbours to say thank you for their feedback. The other letters were to invite any neighbours that wished to give us feedback.

22.01.2022 Our 3rd workshop with Rhe took place today. The children have started work on our canvas that will have the word that we find symbolic to Giggles (watch this space). Any ideas what word it will be?? Feel free to write in the comments.

22.01.2022 Happy Birthday to our beautiful Miss Natski (Natalie). The children celebrated her special day with a dolphin themed party. Miss Natski has an affinity with dolphins and she shares this with the children to support their curiosity and knowledge. Miss Natski supports all our centres but Giggles ELC has had the privilege of her constant presence over the last 5 months. She has strong bonds and connections with all the children and they just simply love her.

21.01.2022 EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS DAY The love we have for our profession is resonated through the beautiful smiles, love, care, fun and learning we provide towards our most precious little ones. We wake each day and turn up for work to be greeted with unconditional love and sticky fingers in return. We wipe dirty hands and faces, change countless numbers of nappies, play mediator between friends and roll around and get covered in mess. This is all in a days work. Giggles has the most amazing team of educators any child and parent could ask for. Today we were spoilt by everyone, through kind affectionate words, gifts of chocolate, balloons, cupcakes and then some. We appreciate you all and together we are connected as one

21.01.2022 Using a beautiful Aboriginal cockatoo dot painting as inspiration, the children created some amazing masterpieces. After collecting sticks from our garden we used these as our painting tool to implement aboriginals learnings and culture to our experiences.

20.01.2022 SPRING is in the air

20.01.2022 Our beautiful nature craft today - spring flower sun catchers.

20.01.2022 Thank you Liam Hack, Ethan Kung and Ryann Li for the treats you have given us to celebrate educators day

20.01.2022 Wishing you all a very special day with your precious children. May your day be truly magical.

19.01.2022 R U Ok? .. It's a simple question and during these crazy Covid times even more important to ask...check on your family, friends and colleagues. No advice needed, just simply listen with an open mind and open

18.01.2022 Our multicultural culinary skills took the children and the educators to beautiful Italy. What a better way to embrace this culture than by making some homemade pizza. Miss Glaucia’s husband kindly made some delicious fresh and fluffy dough for our experience

18.01.2022 Exploring creativity at the flower painting activity was how we expanded on the children’s talents and abilities. Miss Rachel painted some flowers using a different array of tools. With lots of bright colours in the paint pots and with guidance from Miss Rachel they were able to follow instructions to create their own interpretation and version of the picture.

17.01.2022 We had the pleasure of meeting Rheanna from Ngandabaa Art today in our centre. Rhe will be our artist in Residence for the next 8 weeks. She will be working closely with the preschoolers room to further embed Aboriginal culture and teachings into our centre, through her Aboriginal art workshops. She spent the first visit exposing the children to Aboriginal Symbols where they all had the opportunity to recreate the symbols independently. We are very excited to begin this journey in partnership with Rhe.

15.01.2022 Light boxes and panels provide hours of open ended play and are a fantastic tool for enhancing sensory exploration as well as facilitate the development of motor skills, an understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts, social and emotional development, language and literally skills.

15.01.2022 A big empty box is a great starting point for creative and imaginative play - it can be many amazing and wonderful things - just let their imaginations run wild and free.

15.01.2022 We celebrated NAIDOC week with diverse and enriching experiences. Using beautiful books, symbols, props to share and teach the children about Our First Nations People.

05.01.2022 Colours, Colours Everywhere Spring is a time of beautiful and vibrant colours and we try and capture this is all craft and activities that we do. The children learn to express themselves through play and extend on their abilities through stimulating and engaging experiences.

Our bumblebees made sushi with Miss Minnie, our caterpillars made Thai chicken noodle salad with Miss Anutra and our butterflies made lamb kafta to have on Lebanese bread with Miss Suzy. Our tastebuds are tingling with deliciousness
