24.01.2022 My new mid century addiction. Moving from a coastal suburb in Perth, where all my furniture was white washed and shabby to a beautiful old Art Deco in Sydney has really confused my personal style. The Gumtree finds here are amazing if you are open to applying some elbow grease. There is nothing better than being able to reflect on your furnishings, knowing the amount of TLC you put in to create one off pieces.... There can also be a bit of history involved in restoration. These chairs came from Ross Norman Discounts in Bondi Junction which we now know as Harvey Norman in Westfields. I would say that they are from the early 70s. Any recommendations for the upholstery would be appreciated as this is something I struggle with. Most of my upholstery is blue and white. 24.01.2022 Another beautiful couple and another bathroom design I had the pleasure of working on. I love using wall hung vanities opposed to floor mounted, as they open up the space, making it feel less cluttered and also allow for easier cleaning. Matching medicine cabinets are my absolute favourite bathroom necessity. Ideal for small spaces that cant fit a vanity and a perfect compliment to a vanity (because there is no such thing as too much storage). 19.01.2022 A year ago I scored this baby for $30 on Gumtree. A bit of elbow grease, Danish oil and some upholstery and you have a gorgeously restored #FLER Parker style armchair. FLER is one of Australias original, Mid Century furniture producers, with a heavy Scandinavian influence. The factory was founded in 1946 in Melbourne and soon became a house hold name.... I was supposed to go with a dark blue vinyl, however my eclectic aesthetic got the best of me again! They have completely demolished and built the frame of the bath and nib/niches in five days (including the demo of the kitchen and second bathroom)! Together we are completing a new kitchen and two bathrooms all before Christmas. 13.01.2022 Creative task number one of quarantine day five! My boy is a melting pot, which explains why his room is covered in flags. I am so proud of my heritage and i want him to grow up knowing his own individual story. His great grandfather Willian was from Lake Tahoe.... The A I just sewed onto that vintage fleece coat was from my own outfit, which my parents bought me on my first birthday in America. The O and B are his initials and i picked them up and stuck them in a draw a few years back. Today I found them after a deep clean of my home office and i suppose being locked in doors leaves you with a bit more time for activities like this!!

My clients wished to keep a bath and also required as much storage as possible. By creating nibs and niches as well as introducing a medicine cabinet we were able to create many more functional spaces within the wet area. The warm tones and movement within the floor and feature tile, create a space you feel comfortable in.... I was so impressed by the workmanship of @behjanconstructions on this one. The frameless glass sits perfectly within the constraints of the baths hob and the tiled neiches.
