16.01.2022 MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY 2020 Dear friends, Another year is almost at its end, and it has been a challenging year for me health wise. However, firstly, as you may recall, I had my North Devonshire friend, James visit me for a few days before I travelled to Somerset, for a fortnight to spent Christmas with my University of Exeter friend, and husband who reside near ...Wells. While in Somerset, my friends drove me all over Somerset, including visiting my maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother at the Weston-Super-Mare crematorium, to pay my respects and connect with my various ancestors who lived and died in the county. I visited an assortment of places I recalled from family day trips with some fond childhood memories. I visited Taunton, Clevedon, Wells, Glastonbury, and Bath. On my return to London, I was met by a barrage of hospital appointment and treatments for sleep-apnoea, migraines, throat surgery, my spine, and trapped nerves in my neck and lower spine; just to mention a few. I began rehab at the Chelsea & Westminster hospital, until I was rushed to hospital with gallstones, which I am awaiting surgery for. In August, I was invited to return to Somerset for a fortnight, and visited Ilminster, Chard, Bristol, the Somerset levels, Langport, a hymns, pims, and strawberry service, and revisited the church, where I was christened, and sang in the church choir with my older sister. It was special to see my former school, and walk around the town, where I grew up. I even managed campanology, an interest I have had, since I was ten years old. I managed to ring on two occasions, once at Binegar and Ashwick church. I also attended a service of celebration for a priest and friend at Downside Abbey, Somerset. I also attended a Somerset County Show near Shepton Mallet. I had a compact, and enjoyable summer holiday in the West Country. On my return to London, I commemorated Stephane’s one year anniversary on the 14th September, which I had hoped I would have attended. Due to train strikes, I sadly missed a Requiem Mass in his name but remained quiet at home and lit a votive candle to pray and reflect on his life, and our life together. I visited his family for a few days, and returned home half a week later as I had hospital treatments and appointments to attend. Now, December is upon me, I am preparing for James, my North Devon friend to visit for a few days mid-December, and then I will revisit Somerset for Christmas and the New Year.

01.01.2022 I had an amazing Pride London 2019. I marched in solidarity with my LGBT family, was exhausted after, but I enjoyed viewing the women's stage at Leicester Square, before I returned home! Thank you Pride London! xx
