17.01.2022 A very tight match between what seemed to be two very matched teams, a back and forth display of tries throughout the entire game! The Wolves put up a massive fight in the second half only to come up short 1 point with the game ending 32-31 to King's Old Boys. Bring on Round 2!

11.01.2022 Couple snaps from the weekend. Back at it after the lock down restrictions, will be attending local sporting events in and around Western Sydney.

07.01.2022 Round 2 on a perfect autumn afternoon in Kogarah, saw an unfortunate 13 man combined forces side face a full strength wolves. Agreeing to play out the match was a real honorable gesture from the home side that was short men on the day. Merrylands kept to the keep it simple game plan and had a rotation of players from each half of the game. It was a full display of team tries & excellent kicking from the wolves running away with the game by 87 - 15.... Big cheers to the Combined Forces boys for playing out the match! 07.01.2022 The first round of the new 2021 season was a close game between two evenly matched sides. Back and forth the entire game with each side equally giving it to their opponent in a tough display. The start of the year is always the hardest for the players to adapt to the physical demand of playing the sport, after the long summer break off. Both teams looked to be in good shape and will no doubt be eager to play each other later in the season. Merrylands finished the game narrowl...y with a 25 - 19 win over the boys from Menai. Bring on round 2! All photos are copyright. Instagram - @gilesfunnellmedia

01.01.2022 Heading into round 3 was always going to be a tough one, coming up against the runners up from last year and the title winners from 2019. Burraneer Seniors was a game we knew would be hard fought for both teams from the get go. A home away from home game was played at The Ridge Sporting Complex, as both clubs fields had events on. The game was tight throughout, with a cluster of points swaying between both. The physical hard fought display ended with Burraneer taking the W ...17 - 15. The day held special significance as it was Anzac day weekend, the last post was sounded with both teams fielded before the game, for a minutes silence to remember those who sacrificed their lives for the country we freely live in. Special thanks to both Veterans David & Ellie for coming down on the day and watching the game take place, it was an honor for both teams to play in front of you both. Your speech at the end was heard by those with keen ears. God bless you both. Socials - @gilesfunnellmedia Photos by - Taylor Smith All photos are copyright.
