22.01.2022 Transformation Tuesday! In July 2019 we took on this small, basic shop front and gave it new life! This space was part of a heritage listed building so we kept the original features such as the bricks throughout and the old floor joist ceiling. We designed the welcoming, creative, and artistic environment that Dreamboat was searching for, a safe haven for people to come and experience a hair service like no other. Pushing boundaries, we were able to find the perfect bal...ance between a clean modern finish all while keeping an artistically alternative vibe. To do this we incorporated a standout custom feature wall created by Lochie Rowden. His unique talent has added character and colour. Through the handmade overhead cabinet, we were able include some history in the build by using some leftover refurbished timber from my first job as an apprentice that I had been holding on to for over 6 years. A polish up on the miserable looking floors that had years of foot traffic battering it was essential. We ground down the blue paint on the concrete floor and a two stage polish and clear coat sealer is what brought it back to its raw beginnings. What better way to bring some class to the space than sanding back the natural hardwood timber and lathering it in cabbotts polyurethane. Finally, the round mirrors was an idea to display the touch of a soft smooth finish in a particularly straight and sharp backdrop which included the square shaped shelves and VJ lining. It wouldn’t be Dreamboat without the stamp of authenticity displayed in a visual form through the neon sign for the world to see. 18.01.2022 Hey guys, long time no post. Been busy working away at this big house lift and renovation in Newmarket with MP Building. After finishing this big project and a few smaller jobs over the past few months we have unfortunately ran out of work. Due to the corona virus epidemic, we’ve had 2 large house lifts and renovations been postponed until further notice. If anyone is needing carpentry work done, maintenance around the house, or even some squeaky doors fixed up, please contact us as we would love to come and get this work done for you. It is a stressful time for everyone with so much uncertainty of the future. We need to support one another in every way we can including our small businesses. 10.01.2022 Been a long 3 days but glad to see this finished up! The client was looking for a flowing riverbed inspired feature through the bathroom. Now for a clean up, grout and sealer to finish it with a wet look.

10.01.2022 Little job for today. Sue wanted to clean up her butlers pantry by installing some drawers. This is an easy way to keep some sort of order in whats usually described as a cluttered nightmare. We also installed a small shelf above for extra storage for coffee, tea, and other goodies. 08.01.2022 Hump day today so why not a little throwback to our work from November - January. This was a basic empty warehouse that Alex from Alamour The Label was leasing to facilitate his staff and office space. He came to us looking to double his work space and create a comfortable yet professional area for him to run his business. We designed a mezzanine floor to suit the shape of the existing warehouse taking in to account the roller door at the front for access. Featured in this of...fice fit out were four 3 meter wide fixed panel windows with VJ sheeting creating the perfect backdrop for the immaculate glass. The vinyl flooring is on full display with the countless down lights installed in the space. A simple white walls and ceiling duo allows all eyes to be drawn to the black butt stair case which leads to the second space. A custom black butt computer desk and shelving allows for adequate storage as well as a practical space to send those important emails. A mezzanine floor is the perfect strategy to double your workspace all while keeping it professional and stylish.
