Please let me know if your admin did not receive it and I’ll forward it on. Thanks. GILGANDRA SWIMMING CLUB CARNIVAL ... Preparations are well underway for our carnival next Saturday. It looks like the weather is going to be HOT so come prepared. All competitors should have received an email containing information about the day. Please make sure you read the information for all attendees. It is important that all attendees understand the COVID information and the Event map so that you know where you can sit for the day and the flow of competitors to and from the marshalling area. Please be reminded: 1. STRICTLY only 1 parent/ carer per family 2. NO non swimming siblings 3. Please DO NOT attend the carnival if you are not feeling well. 4. Please DO NOT enter pool grounds if you have visited any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website. 5. Please make sure you come dressed to swim. 6. Please make sure you sign in on entry either by QR code or by signing sheets provided. 7. Please stay in your family/ club groups unless in marshalling area, the kiosk or the bathroom. 8. Please observe physical distancing rules at all times. 9. Where possible once you have finished your last event, we would kindly ask you to leave the pool grounds to avoid congestion at the end of the day. 10. Warm up at 8.15am - 8.45am. Carnival will commence at 9.00am 11. THERE WILL BE NO LATE ENTRIES TAKEN ON THE DAY. A full KIOSK will be operating from 8.30am Programs will be available for purchase at the gate. $4.00 We will be running a 100 club and a raffle on the day. Gates will open at 7.30am. Please be patient while we process everyone into the pool grounds. We thank you for your understanding as we comply with COVID regulations. 21.01.2022 Fabulous day yesterday at the Warren carnival. Well done to our awesome kids Alana, Jade, Alyssa, Brooke, Jocelyn and Mitch. They all swam their hearts outs, clocked up some great times and represented Gilgandra in style. A huge thank you to our Gil parents, Liv Ferguson and Gular Swim Club for helping out with the timekeeping. What a great day!

16.01.2022 TO ALL COMPETITORS OF THE GILGANDRA SWIMMING CARNIVAL. We are very much looking forward to our carnival this weekend. The pool has brand new lane ropes to be used for the first time on Saturday.... Due to unforeseen circumstances, Gilgandra Council are NOT going to be able to install their brand new diving blocks in time for our carnival. Our Swim Club Committee has explored every avenue to get this to eventuate, even a temporary measure, but have not had any success. We have sought advice from Ingrid, our Technical Official and Swimming NSW, and CEO Mark Heathcote has advised us to go ahead WITHOUT the blocks. We do understand that this is not ideal and we are, to say the least, extremely disappointed. But the carnival must go on. We appreciate your understanding and patience with us with the few hiccups we have had in the preparation for our carnival. Looking forward to seeing you all there on Saturday.

To renew or sign up for a membership, please go to our website https://gilgandra.swimming.org.au Our first session will begin in Term 4, on Tuesday, October 13th, with Point Score at 6pm. All members are encouraged to attend as gradings will be calculated from these lap times. New members are welcome to Come and Try from 5pm. We will be there to answer any questions and help with enrolments etc. You can also meet the coaches and try... out a lap or two. Regular training will begin the following week from Monday, 19th October. Any questions? Information packs can be collected at any Gilgandra school office or can be picked up at Rohr’s Home Timber and Hardware. Or you can phone Sally or Sim (numbers on our website). The pool will remain closed today to allow cleaning of the pool and pool grounds. A further update will be provided this evening at 6pm.
