24.01.2022 On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big, old pecan tree just inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a bucketful of nuts and sat down b...y the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the nuts. "One for you, one for me, one for you, one for me," said one boy. Several dropped and rolled down toward the fence. Another boy came riding along the road on his bicycle. As he passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, "One for you, one for me, one for you, one for me ...." He just knew what it was. He jumped back on his bike and rode off. Just around the bend he met an old man with a cane, hobbling along. "Come here quick," said the boy, "you won't believe what I heard! Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing up the souls!" The man said, "Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to walk." When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled slowly to the cemetery. Standing by the fence they heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me." The old man whispered, "Boy, you've been tellin' me the truth. Let's see if we can see the Lord...?" Shaking with fear, they peered through the fence, yet were still unable to see anything. The old man and the boy gripped the wrought iron bars of the fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of the Lord. At last they heard, "One for you, one for me. That's all. Now let's go get those nuts by the fence and we'll be done...." They say the old man had the lead for a good half-mile before the kid on the bike passed him.

21.01.2022 Hi to our Facebook followers. We are on a three day tour through N.S.W for Land Care. We have got farmers on from all over Gippsland. We have definitely run the new Irizar in. Lots of gravel roads, cattle grids and tight gateways.

21.01.2022 A special thank you to Jason, from Gillicks Buslines for his amazing generosity in providing a bus for family & friends to travel from Bairnsdale to Ensay to farewell Mum, Bernadette Carroll. Many thanks from all of Bernadettes family.

20.01.2022 Lets get behind our metropolitan operators and STOP the government taking over their contracts and services. These operators have worked hard through three and four generations to create wonderfully ran businesses that are efficient and to a very high standard. If the government get their hands on them, they will be destroyed and so will the families that have worked very hard to get where the are today.

17.01.2022 Hello to all our Facebook followers. 2018 has been a year of a lot of changes. Starting from the beginning of 2018 Ian and Glenda (first generation) decided it was time for them to kick up the heels and get some well earned use out of their new caravan. So after an awesome happy retirement send off and them driving off into the sunset, I thought well its all up to me and my fantastic team to keep the wheels turning for the great business. I guess its just in the blood lin...es lol. Id like to send a very special thank you to my operations Manager Col Cathcart that keeps the cogs turning. Gillicks buslines started business in Bairnsdale in 1986 with a school bus run that went to Lindnow South. Back in those days my mother Margaret drove the school bus for a few years. After a marriage separation my father Ian Gillick drove the school bus. Then Ian met Glenda. After a few years the business started to grow. Ian was doing the hard yards out on the Hwy with Glenda doing the hard yards in the office. As we grew it got harder and harder. But Ian was trying to drive four buses at the same time because he was very conservative with paying wages. At that stage the business was in one of those difficult spots. As they kept working through the tough times, eventually things got easier and we started hiring more staff. In 2007 I started working with Ian (dad) and Glenda. We have worked hard to get the business to where it is today. It has been great to be a part of this empire. Today we are celebrating the launch of our very first brand new Coach that has everything you could want in it. It is a Irizar Scania. We hope you all like. Jason and the team at Gillicks buslines Bairnsdale.

05.01.2022 Hi folks. Today is a very sad day in the bus industry. A very popular icon in the industry has past on and had his funeral today. I was lucky enough to be able to login and watch it this afternoon. Mr. Doug Kefford (Kefford Group) being one of the pillars of our very special industry would have been very proud of his amazing familys beautiful words. The whole service was beautiful. Bram Kefford did an amazing job with his words for his father. I had my headlights on in re...spect to Doug around my school bus run today and also managed to get the whole Bairnsdale bus network to do the same. This man had done so much over the years for not only our industry but for everything he has been involved in. We at Gillicks Buslines management and staff send our condolences to the Kefford Family. R.I.P Doug. Im sure youre in a beautiful spot.
