25.01.2022 Gotta have a Rotary snag at the markets! The Gerringong Village Markets were bustling today as people were happy to be out and about in all that glorious sunshi...ne. Lots of stallholders and Christmas shopping Well done Gerringong Rotary on running the markets in a COVID safe way - and thank you for all your members do to help our community. See more

25.01.2022 Today, I was delighted to tour the historic Graham Lodge with the Nowra Riverfront Advisory Taskforce. We need to make sure we get the future of our riverfront ...right so I joined the taskforce to be your local voice. If you have any ideas about how we can make the riverfront great, send me an email at [email protected]

24.01.2022 At the end of 2018 I decided to start volunteering on the Gilmore campaign for the fantastic Fiona Phillips. Little did I know then that I would be spending al...most the next two years volunteering and then working as a part of team Gilmore in Nowra. Working to win an election and then establish an Electorate Office in a seat that hadn’t seen a Labor election victory in over a quarter of a century (6 years before I was born) was a challenge to say the least. Throw in a drought, bushfires, floods and a global pandemic and you have a whole new set of insane and taxing things to deal with, for lack of any better words. The amazing work of the branch members, my colleagues and Fiona through all of this have continued to blow me away. I am looking forward to seeing Gilmore retained at the next election and the amazing work this team will go on to achieve. To Jessica, Stefanie, Stuart, Stuart, Imogen, Ally, David and Maureen thank you for all of your guidance and friendship of the last 18 months. I am so happy to have met all of you and I am sure I will see you all again soon. Keep punching goals To my fantastic replacement Jake, I have every confidence that you will do an amazing job and a bring a fresh take to the role. I am so excited to see what you achieve as we build up the next election. And to Fiona and Simon, thank you for putting your faith in me originally to take on this role. Your mentorship and kindness over the past two years has been amazing. While it was a very tough decision to move on, I am looking forward to finishing my degree and seeing where the next chapter of my life leads. This year has seen so much stress, grief and anxiety for all of us and it is important that we know when to take a step back and start focusing on helping ourselves once in a while. Anyway, that’s enough to about me. Go vote Labor to something.

24.01.2022 What an absolutely gorgeous day for Marine Rescue Sussex Inlet to have their Open Day. And what a buzz it was, something for everyone! 40 volunteer members here... provide support, and search and rescue from Cape St George in the north to Bendalong in the south, including Sussex Inlet River, St George’s Basin and Swan Lake. Today was all about education and awareness and what a terrific day it was - a great day to drop in and present a new flag. Thank you to all Marine Rescue volunteers for helping keep our waterways safe. See more

21.01.2022 Australia has lost 140,000 apprentices under this Liberal Government. Another big headline-grabbing announcement won’t be enough to undo that damage it’s why ...we need a proper plan for jobs and training so our people can grasp opportunities in the recovery and we don’t have a lost generation of workers. 21.01.2022 Seriously, what is Scott Morrison on? In one of the most disgraceful, quite frankly disgusting moves, he has left the entire NSW south coast out of the new Re...gional Recovery Fund. The government said 10 regions were chosen because... (wait for it) they are regions whose economies have experienced the brunt of natural events such as bushfires, or COVID-19, drought as well. Well, aloha , clearly he doesn’t know the NSW South Coast! How out of touch can he be? I will not stop fighting for people on the NSW South Coast. There is no way he’s getting away with this.

21.01.2022 I know how long our Batemans Bay community has been fighting for a new pool. Today, I was delighted to officially see construction start on the new Batemans Bay Regional Aquatic, Arts and Leisure Centre

21.01.2022 School Creek Bridge is an absolutely vital bridge for the Budgong community as it is the main way to Kangaroo Valley and Nowra. It was destroyed in the bushfi...res leaving this community isolated. Today was a very special day with the opening of the new School Creek Bridge! It was lovely talking with locals here about what this bridge means to them. Well done Shoalhaven Council and workers. I’m pleased there was federal funding under federal Disaster Recovery Arrangements for this vital bridge See more

21.01.2022 After years of rubbishing Labor’s plan for the NBN, and wasting billions of taxpayer dollars, the Liberals have finally admitted that fibre to the home is what we needed all along. If only they had a Communications Minister telling them so back in 2013.

21.01.2022 The government needs to rethink its decision to cut JobKeeper. It will hurt local businesses that have lost all their income like My Travel Expert. We need targeted support for travel agents and struggling industries now.
