14.01.2022 ROUND 2 - MORGAN PARK - POSTPONED AMRS have come to the tough decision to postpone the upcoming round of the season at Morgan Park Raceway, scheduled for April ...16-18. This was not a lightly made decision, however with the unfolding covid-19 situation in South-East Queensland, the safety and health of all personnel and competitors involved is our utmost priority. We are working closely with the venue to try and re-schedule the event later in the year to a time which suits our calendar. Round 3 of AMRS is locked in at Winton Raceway from June 11-13!!

02.01.2022 Morgan Park held the second round of the Australian Formula 3 Series which was the home race for the Mcdonalds Gilmour Racing Team who were looking to take victory in their home state. The Mcdonalds Gilmour Racing Team had a double podium finish at the opening round of the series but was looking to take their first race and round victory. Saturday came around and qualifying and race one was on for the day and qualifying was a three-way battle with both Mcdonalds Gilmour Raci...ng boys, Richard Peasey and Josh Buchan were both in the thick of the action with round 1 winner John Magro. After an intense battle for the All Properties Group pole position, Peasey missed out on pole position by one-tenth of a second coming home second and Buchan a further tenth back in position three for another top-three finish for both drivers. In race 1 it was an intense battle for the lead with both drivers and round one winner John Magro all having their chance at winning the race with Peasey coming home in position two by a second and a half with Buchan a further two seconds back. Buchan noted they had made gains but still had to find more to knock of Magro come Sunday. Today was a good day and a much more improved effort from us. We were much closer in qualifying and much closer in the opening race and let's hope tomorrow can be our day. Sunday came round and Richard Peasey was off the front row for the races with Buchan off the inside of the second row. Both races were run and won with another two double podium finishes for the team. Peasey was able to come home second for the round with another two-second place finishes on Sunday with Buchan coming away third for the round with another two third placings. Buchan noted that while it was good to get another double podium for the team they simply had no answer for the race winner on Sunday. It was another great weekend for the team, another double podium for the team. We had great pace on Saturday but we just couldn’t match John Magro in his R-Tek car. We will go back home to do more work and do everything we can to come to the bend in South Australia and trying to take the win. Mcdonalds Gilmour Racing will be on the circuit for the next round of the Australian Formula 3 Series at the bend in South Australia on June 21-23. 01.01.2022 The ability for Errol to train, inspire and motivate all those around him definitely shone through this weekend with a faultless display of team work within the... Gilmour Racing team resulting in a successful and rewarding race weekend, everything went to plan and the driver earned himself another trophy! But more than that, the most rewarding part of the weekend was coaching the driver to develop his skills and awareness of the car, to find the extra pieces of the puzzle to get closer to putting together the perfect lap. Improvement and fine tuning of the car and driver was carried out every time the car went out and notable improvement reflected the hard work carried out by all within the team. Congratulations to Roman Krumins on his results for the weekend and a big thankyou to all those who have supported us, offered help and showed their love. See more
