16.01.2022 A very big CONGRATULATIONS to Sienna Gwynne of Year 7 and Alexander Palmer of Year 8, who recently participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition! Sienna and Alexander were each awarded a Distinction and Sienna also achieved the school’s highest Standardised Score! To achieve a Distinction Award means that these students ranked in the 97th percentile a fantastic performance!

11.01.2022 On behalf of the College's Student Leaders, we would like to thank you for your support and enthusiasm for yesterday's Beirut Blast Mufti Day. It was wonderful to see such enthusiastic involvement from our students and the Prayer Wall was inundated with special intentions for the victims of the blast and the people of Lebanon. The overwhelming positive response from the parents of our community was a true reflection of the Gilroy spirit being active and reaching out to the wider community. Thank you for your support of Caritas Australia's work in Lebanon during the current time of crisis.

10.01.2022 On Thursday 19 November 2020, some of our girls from years 7-10 competed in the Parramatta Eels 9-a-Side Rugby League Competition. The vast majority of these girls had never played a game before and prepared for the competition by training before school on two separate occasions. The girls displayed amazing enthusiasm throughout the day and embraced the physicality of the game, they were so eager that they requested that the organisers add additional games so they could cont...inue playing! It seems there is huge potential for Girls Rugby League at Gilroy in the future and we will be looking for more competitions to enter (interested students should see Mr Murray). Special congratulations to Mikayla Eltenn who won player of the tournament for the Juniors and to Emily Knez who won Player of the Tournament for the Seniors! A BIG thank you to Miss Bell who took the Junior team and to Miss Leehy who led the Seniors into battle! Great effort Girls! We are very proud of you!

10.01.2022 Earlier this month Gilroy Catholic College competed in the Oztag Regional Qualifiers at Kingsway playing fields. We entered the years 7 & 8, 9 & 10 and 11 & 12 boys and girls divisions and had an exceptional day! Gilroy WON every division except for year 11 & 12 girls (who lost narrowly in the semi final). ... Each team represented Gilroy with great respect and compassion in victory and defeat. These teams have now qualified for the State Championships in Term 3 (venue and date TBC). Our senior boys will also get an opportunity to defend the title they won in 2019.
