21.01.2022 Every ’Straddie’ I attended at Gilwell there was always a nearby troop who used a bugle. This chap was photographed in 1932.

15.01.2022 The clean well maintained interior of the Patrol Activities Centre. These leaders do a magnificent job.

13.01.2022 COVID 19 has prevented us from going to Gilwell, but it’s looking beautiful. Here we see the weeping Elm in the Cottage garden and some of the flowers in bloom in the Children of Chernobyl garden.

12.01.2022 Certainly not heritage, but the team has installed a free electronic device charging station. It is a few meters east of Sycamore. Another asset for Gilwell and looking to the future.

08.01.2022 The HQ of the Patrol Activities Centre. Patrols only have to bring there own food. All camping equipment is supplied as is the materials for the activities. Activities range from blacksmithing to electronics. Thousands of Scouts have enjoyed and benefitted from this facility.
