10.01.2022 A few days at beautiful Sanctuary Cove for the 20th anniversary MTA conference. Enjoying some powerful speakers and networking with travel industry suppliers. Nice to enjoy some positives in-between a difficult time for the travel industry (and many others) at present.

07.01.2022 Woke up to sad news this morning regarding Virgin, however I just wanted to assure you that at this stage, they still hope to continue better and stronger "on the other side" MTA advised the following: Virgin Australia has today been placed into voluntary administration. This of course means that they are continuing to operate and are not insolvent. This is not the end of the airline and will now provide the administrators Deloitte, the opportunity to recapitalise and work o...n a restructure, reset and potentially a reboot. As far as future credits and bookings along with Velocity FF points are concerned, any potential new owner or restructured airline will consider the goodwill value of honouring both of those. Velocity Frequent Flyer, while owned by the group, is a separate company and has not been placed into administration, it is operated as a cash backed trust and points are protected. See more
