24.01.2022 I was lucky enough to experience GJUUM/Sport Science (movement progressive) during my time at Opera Nationala Bucuresti (all thanks to Johan Kobborg), and look forward to the day Patrick Rump and Borre Liose come to the Gold Coast/Brisbane, to conduct a workshop for students here. Check out their YouTube channel, website and testimonials from Alina Cojocaru, Tamara Rojo and William Forsythe. 23.01.2022 Gina-Marie Leathem Krutzky was born on September 7 1992, and began her training early under her mother, Dianne (Honeybone) Leathem. 12.01.2022 I feel so incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Yannick Boquin (and Siner Gönenç Boquin) and take their fantastic classes, during my time with Dresden Semperoper Ballet and the National Ballet of Romania. They have both collaborated with some of the most famous theatres in the world and with so much knowledge (and experiences) to pass on, they soon became 2 of my favourite ballet masters/mistresses. Yannick's teaching method and style is so distinct which... for me, certainly makes him someone to look up to and follow. Here's a short preview of Yannick teaching class, to a handful of dancers at Dresden Semperoper Ballet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYEm2uL7R0w

05.01.2022 I believe in 'safe dance practice!' Safe dance practice focuses on providing dance activities and exercises which allow students to participate without risk of injury. Such an informative and eye-opening article for who ever is unaware of the risks involved when over stretching. So much damage can be done to students young bodies with such extremity. Please don't over-stretch as it's doing more harm than good! ... Please follow the link below and have a read: http://www.theballetblog.com/portfo/is-over-stretching-bad/

05.01.2022 An artist is typically a being that is filled with so much passion, love or pain for certain lands, people, ideas, or images that all they can do with that overflow is bleed it out by creating. And with this type of art, the energy will be shifted from the depths of them and into the depths of the audience to be felt. It is a dance. A transference. An intimacy. It is to touch and awaken another human in a place they hadn't known was aching, or sleeping. Both are opened. Both are nourished. Both are transformed. ~ Victoria Erickson.
