24.01.2022 Our Vacation program was a great success! We were able to make those beautiful faces glitter with happiness and give them some education. Thank you for all the community members, businesses for your enormous contribution and sharing your passion with our little ones. Centre management appreciates and congratulates our ECT; Chloe for putting the program together and making it happens in a such a short time. Thank you, everyone, for your significant efforts. Well done. Next one will be even much better!!

24.01.2022 Today for our vacation care program we had our AFL football colours day where the children got to dress up in their team colours and spend some time doing football skills with a competition. A massive thank you to our lovely staff at the Gingin Bendigo Bank who donated an original Burley football for our competition and a big congratulations to our football superstar Cooper for winning the prize!

19.01.2022 Today to celebrate NAIDOC week and our beautiful indigenous people of Australia we were lucky enough to have two local members of our community to come and share their knowledge with us. A big thankyou to the lovely Catrina and her son Lachy for sharing your time and knowledge with us. We got to do some bark and dot painting, make damper, play the clapping sticks and the boys were lucky enough to have a turn on the didgeridoo (which aligns with and is respectful of traditiona...l aboriginal lore). We will continue to embed the importance of this culture and these traditions throughout our centre and program and welcome any ideas or opinions of how we can better do this. 18.01.2022 Please ensure you are booked in for vacation care so you don’t miss out, also please send your children with wet weather gear: rain coat, waterproof shoes/gum boots and a hat for our excursion days so that we can still attend. 17.01.2022 Just a reminder that the new Child Care Subsidy (CCS) will take the place of previous Child Care Benefits as of the 2nd of July, 2018. We urge all parents and caregivers to update their details through MyGov and Centrelink in order for the new subsidy to take place effectively as it rolls over. New statements will be sent out on Friday to include the rest of this week plus the week in advance, if you need one printed for you please ask when you’re in the centre. 07.01.2022 We are hosting a one day accredited First-Aid course at our Gingin ELC on the 25/08/18. The course will be offered by the Aust Institute of Higher and Further Education, a Registered Training Organisation. Completion of the course will lead to the Certificate of HLTAID004- Provide an Emergency First Aid response in Education and Care Setting, the nationally recognised Certificate required by Child Care workers and the others working with Children. The course will cater for anyone who likes to learn First Aid and help children and Adults in an Emergency situation. Places are limited. 05.01.2022 Gingin ELC Vacation Care Program Dear Parents and Caregivers, we are offering an exciting school vacation care program to our lovely children in Gingin and nearby suburbs. 04.01.2022 A message from Sarath: Dear Parents, I am aware that some of you are concern about not getting invoices for the last week and this week. There are some issues with the departmental sites that is causing the issue and the management is in contact with the relevant department to get this sorted ASAP. If you are concerned about getting a big invoice/statement at once , our suggestion is to keep what you usually pay aside so that when you get the invoice that would not be a big...ger burden to you. As you know by now, from next Monday the new system will kick in. So Please make sure that you are registered with the new Child care subsidy system and otherwise you may have to pay the total amount by yourself without any government assistance. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by these but we are doing every thing we can to resolve it ASAP. Once it is resolved, the management would love to see every parent to discuss what we can do together to improve our services for the best interest of our beautiful children. 04.01.2022 Please be advised that the revised statements have now been issued and include both the CCB and CCR discounts, please ignore yesterday’s statements and ensure the statement sent out today is paid as soon as possible. As of next Friday, the new statements will be issued which will include next weeks charges and the ONE week in advance charges. This will hopefully reflect your new ChildCare Subsidy that you will have received from Centrelink which may or may not impact the rates you are currently paying Also payment detail forms must be filled in by tomorrow at the latest please ensure this is done. 03.01.2022 Gingin Early Learning Centre gets higher rating from the department for meeting national quality standards! We are pleased to announce that the Gingin ELC has now got 'Meeting' status in all seven national quality areas for the first time in history. This is a great achievement and something that the parents in Gingin can be proud of knowing that they send their children to quality childcare and education centre in the region.

03.01.2022 School vacation program at GinginELC. Education!, Fun!!, interaction!!! entertainment!!!! Gingin Early Learning Centre will be running a vacation care program working days from 6:30am until 5:30pm during this school holidays. Fees are $90 per day and for eligible families, Centrelink benefits apply to this fee. There is no extra cost for excursions. We supply breakfast, morning tea and afternoon tea. Please bring a packed lunch, drink bottle, hat and a change of clothes every day. Please contact Sam or Gingin ELC on 0895753360 or email us at [email protected]. We will require a minimum of 8 children to be booked for excursions to go ahead and we only have 12 positions per day available. We already have 4 children booked per day for the school holidays so positions look to be filling quickly.

02.01.2022 Thank you for all the parents and caregivers for attending our first Parents and staffs meeting and get together last evening at the centre. We value and appreciate your attendance, feedback and contribution. It was a massive success despite the challenging weather we had yesterday. It was also a great encouragement for our staffs to see so many parents attending and to be able to hear what you have to say and what we can do to improve our services so that we can provide the best child care service and education for your children. Thank you to those parents who gave very positive feedback about the services we offer. We will be sending a feedback form shortly, and we request all the parents and caregivers to complete and return to the centre ASAP.
