20.01.2022 Boy these weeks are going fast, back to athletics tomorrow night. The events are:- 800m, Hammer throw, 2km run/2km walk, Shot put and 100m. We look forward to seeing you there and lets hope this wind goes away by then!
20.01.2022 We are back tomorrow with 200m, Discus, 1500m/1500m walk, Hammer and 100m. Should be fun. Just a reminder that as a change we are bring the Vern Curnow Pentathlon forward this year and it will be on the 8th December, still a 6pm start and there will be a charge of $10 to compete. Only AV registered members are able to score points so we need you all registered please. Events at this stage will be 200m, Javelin, 1500m for men and 800m for women and Discus. We are still limited with long jump so the committee will have a talk about what to do. This is a great event and look forward to a good turn out.
18.01.2022 Another week, the weather is still a bit of a challenge but tomorrow night we will be running the 100m, Javelin, 3km/5km run, Discus and 400m. When the restrictions ease on the cleaning in regards to the jumps we will then start these as well, but not just yet. Reminder that if you are looking to join the club just wait until next week as Athletics Victoria are just finetuning the fees. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
18.01.2022 Jumps are back!!! Starting from tomorrow, for the next three rounds we will be including COVID safe jumps. For us to be able to reintroduce the jumps we will need to limit throws and jumps to 2 jumps and two throws due to officials and time constraints. Tomorrow's program will be:- 800m Shot Put Triple Jump... 2k run and walk 100m and Hammer Throw (please note Hammer will be at the end of the program. Look forward to seeing you there. See more

08.01.2022 We are all set for the Green Olive, Traralgon for 12 noon this Sunday 28th February 2021 for those that have booked. If there is anyone else interested please RSVP by 5pm today. After Presentation, as we are allowed more people to visit at home you are invited to presentation at my house 2 Firmin Street, Traralgon - about 5mins drive from Green Olive! We will have a quick AGM at the end and if anyone is interested in staying or going on the committee you would be most welcome. Just note parking is a little cramped at our place but bear in mind you can park on the frontages or driveways at 2 and 4 Firmin Street and please if parking on the road please park just on the one side of the road, many thanks.-- Cheryl HughesSecretary

01.01.2022 OK so the weather may not be kind to us tomorrow but it is our last meet of the season. Events will be:- 800m Hammer throw High Jump 2k run and walk... Shot Put 100m. 01.01.2022 As you may all realise next Tuesday's Athletic club meet is cancelled due to lockdown. The last meet is hopefuly on Tuesday 23rd February and will be Round C but this will include high jump and NOT triple jump as it was decided to try and get in one each of the jumps if possible. Let's hope we will be able to go ahead. We had hoped to have our presentation and AGM on Sunday 28th February at my home to start at 4pm then move to Hogsbreath, Traralgon at 6pm for tea which would include all that would like to come. Please diary this date and we will just have to wait and see how this circuit breaker lock down does. Fingers crossed and please everyone stay safe.
01.01.2022 Please note that AV memberships are now open and we are really reliant on memberships to keep our little club running. If you are thinking about it please come and support us on Tuesday night at 6pm with events 200m, Discus, 1500m/1500m walk, shot put and 100m. Then get busy and sign up to Gippsland Athletics.
