25.01.2022 We are starting to run out of available appointments for this year so if it is something you are thinking about please give us a ring shortly on 51740036.
25.01.2022 We have just heard from Maryvale Private Hospital that only those who live and/or work in metropolitan Melbourne will be required to have a COVID-19 test before surgery.
24.01.2022 When we have the dates that elective surgery will cease and notification from Mr Scott and Maryvale Private Hospital we will start ringing all affected people and please be assured that if you are cancelled that you will go back on Mr Scott's lists in the order of cancellations.
23.01.2022 Did you realise we gave a bariatric dietician that runs her private practice from our office in Traralgon and also offers Telehealth? If you would like to know more please ring us on 51740036.
21.01.2022 Well we have been busy rebooking surgery and new patients while trying to look after Mr Scott's regular patients. Unfortunately as David is away for another one and a half weeks our appointments have been pushed out. Thank you for your patience and we hope to get this sorted soon. Hope everyone is staying safe and please note that if you are unfortunate to be in one of the 'hot spot' suburbs we would ask you not to make a face to face appointment but happy to offer you a phone consultation.
19.01.2022 Happy New Year. Where has the time gone? Just a reminder that we are open and back to normal hours. If you are thinking about making an appointment now is the time to give us a ring and get organised for the new year. All new patients just remember that you will need a referral to Mr Scott to make an appointment and we look forward to hearing from you.
19.01.2022 We have been busy ringing August patients booked at Maryvale Private Hospital to tell them that surgery is going ahead for booked patients and the need for a COVID test with results to us and isolation from test to surgery. We will work on September surgery at a later date. Hope this helps ease some minds but watch this space.
18.01.2022 Any appointments at The Healthcare Centre you are required to wear a mask and for all other clinics that Mr Scott consults at you are strongly encouraged to wear a mask. The staff in Traralgon are wearing a mask for your and their safety. In these uncertain times and so many stories of people doing the wrong thing, let's make a difference and keep ourselves safe. Thanks for your understanding.
16.01.2022 We have just rung Maryvale Private Hospital regarding COVID tests this morning, after the list this Friday afternoon it it not a requirement to get a COVID test prior to surgery. The same rules apply that if you gave been in any of the DHHS listed contact sites or feel unwell you will need to be tested.
16.01.2022 At this time the advice from Maryvale Private Hospital is that booked surgeries can proceed BUT everyone must have a COVID test done prior to surgery, provide us with the negative result and isolate from the time of the test until travelling to Maryvale for your surgery. We will be available in the office from 8.30am tomorrow to answer your questions and start notifying people. Thanks for your patience with us and stay safe.
13.01.2022 We are closed for Australia day and the office will reopen tomorrow morning.
13.01.2022 Maryvale Private Hospital update for patients with upcoming surgery - if you are in the Melbourne Metropolitan area or Mitchell Shire you will require a COVID test in the days prior to surgery, provide negative result to Maryvale and also isolate in the time between getting your test and your surgery. If you have been or worked in any of these zones prior to surgery you will also need to provide a COVID negative test result. At this stage for those having appointments with Mr Scott from the listed areas you will be required to wear a mask at all times in our office. Thank you so much for your understanding.
13.01.2022 Terrible news for metropolitan Melbourne please stay home and stay safe. As for surgery for those people and appointments, as soon as we have been told officially what we need to do our team will be on the phone to those affected.
12.01.2022 We hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend and we will be back in the office bright and early Monday morning. Just a reminder that our appointments are getting very booked up for this year and likewise is Mr Scott's operating lists. We are just finalising Mr Scott's lists for next year and then will be contacting those that are waiting for a date in early 2021.
11.01.2022 We have a new dietician, Sarah, available for Telehealth appointments every 2nd Thursday in the afternoon. Initial appointment is one hour and will cost $85.00. If you get a Team Care plan from your GP that includes Sarah then you will be able to claim some Medicare from the appointment. If you wish to make an appointment please ring our office on 51740036 to organise this.
07.01.2022 Hello everyone. I am sure there are some anxious people after the snap decision that has put Victoria into lock down. At this stage we have no official notification on surgery but please be assured when we know anything we will be letting you know. Let's hope common sense prevails and that this lock down works. Keep safe.
06.01.2022 Well 2020 is fast coming to a close. Just to let you all know that our office will shut at 5pm on Friday 18th December then reopen for very limited hours from January 4th 2021 and back to normal hours from Monday 11th January 2021. We will have our answer phone on and also feel free to email but unfortunately any appointments must be made by phone. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
05.01.2022 Update. At this stage we have been told that surgery at Maryvale Private Hospital for people in lock down zones is going ahead and the hospital will take precautions BUT the advice is that you have a COVID test prior to surgery and allow enough time for results to be available. I know this is an added stress but the alternative is not worth the health and safety of you and those caring for you. Thank you for your understanding. Edit. The COVID test is only required prior to surgery, not appointments. Thanks.
05.01.2022 We understand that Optifast, bars, soups and shakes are in short supply. For those of you with diet weeks coming up you can have Optislim but bear in mind it does not have as much protein in it.
03.01.2022 I note that the information today is all Category 3 elective surgery in metropolitan Melbourne and hot spots has been cancelled. Maryvale Private Hospital is not included in this. I know this is causing anxiety with those with surgery coming up but at this stage it is "business as usual".
03.01.2022 Was a bit stressed there for a moment as they put up about elective surgery being cancelled BUT they have just clarified that regional hospitals are not affected by the suspension.
01.01.2022 Hello everyone. Well have we been busy taking your phone calls, booking appointments and most importantly keeping people with upcoming operations notified about the need for COVID testing etc. We hope everyone is coping with the restrictions we are living under and keeping safe.
