New owners Rueben and Donna welcomed their 3rd bundle of joy, little Quentin, into their family this week. Weighing a tiny () 4.61kg/10.16lbs, he certainly made his arrival a memorable one! His two older sisters were very excited for cuddles with their little baby brother! Fun fact: Quentin, meaning the fifth, is the fifth grandson for both Rueben AND Donnas parent...s. Now THATs a pretty special coincidence Were all thrilled to meet this little ray of sunshine during a time in life that has been challenging for us all. Sending congratulations to the entire family!

21.01.2022 Its re-opening day . After what feels like forever, our Tearooms have officially reopened . As per government guidelines, there are a number of protocols we must put in place to ensure patron and staff safety, and we appreciate your patience as we implement these new practices. These include:... - table service for meals and drinks (previously a bistro style ordering system), - limiting the total number of patrons at any one time (we can accommodate 20 patrons in our Tearoom and 15 in our Sunroom), - limiting the number of patrons at any one table to a maximum of 6, - requiring EVERY patron provide their first name and contact phone number, for the sole purpose of contact tracing if a COVID19 outbreak were to occur, - requesting contactless payment where possible, to be completed at the table, - asking that no patrons visit our store if showing and cold or flu like symptoms, - maintaining social distancing during all interactions with other patrons and staff. . There will inevitably be a number of teething problems in the first week of operating under these new protocols and guidelines, but we feel it is well worth the extra effort to keep you all safe. . 13.01.2022 POWER OUTAGE Due to a widespread power outage throughout Baw Baw, we are unfortunately without power and are therefore unable to open the store At this stage the estimated time for power restore is 12pm, but as we all know, this is very unpredictable! Power could come back on within the next hour, or may be out for the remainder of the day ... As a result, we will be closed this morning and will reopen as soon as we can. 13.01.2022 To all our incredible customers: It has been brought to our attention that there have been some concerns regarding our outdoor seating. I would like to reassure you that up until today, we were regularly cleaning and disinfecting the tables and chairs, and took extra measures to ensure they were spaced apart appropriately; including the removal of some tables and chairs. We were under the impression from government statements and guidelines that we were allowed to provide the...se for customers who were waiting for their takeaway orders to be prepared. However, as a means of reassuring customers that we take the COVID 19 virus very seriously, we have decided to remove all removable outdoor tables and seating. For those customers who require seating due to health or mobility issues, there will still be bench seating available in one of our bay windows. But as highlighted by the government, please ensure you sit at least 1.5m away from any other customer whom may also be awaiting their orders. These are very trying times for us all, and we are all doing our best to navigate this as best we can, while trying to support our loyal customers and highly valued staff. 05.01.2022 COVID19 has got us working super hard to do as many DIYs to our cafe as we can, while our dine-in is closed. We have so many ideas of how we can update our beloved cafe/Tearooms, while trying to maintain its cosy country character. But this all takes time and money. And as new business owners, with a growing young family (no.3 expected any week now), we have neither . So after being hit hard by a second round of stage 3 lockdowns, weve decided to turn a negative into... a positive and do as much DIY as we can while we have the opportunity .
