25.01.2022 GRCH staff Carol and Tania were trying to work out what the loud noise was at Centenary House today, fortunately this explains it

25.01.2022 GRCH Committee of Management member Ray Scheffer came in today to prune the miniature date palm in one of our small courtyards. Operations Assistant Tania Whitehead persuaded him to help out with cleaning the windows and sills once the pruning was done. The pruning and cleaning has left the courtyard in great condition for our guests to enjoy.

24.01.2022 Some unexpected plants we found growing in the new gardens at Centenary House, most likely a type of toadstool.

23.01.2022 Congratulations to GRCH volunteer and Rotarian Kevin Ainsworth who was recognised as the Rotary Club of Morwell Rotarian of the Year for 2019-20. Kevin is pictured below (L) receiving his award from 2019-20 Morwell Rotary President Dave Swainsbury (R). Dave is the chairman of the GRCH Committee of Management and both are members of our Monday morning crew who undertake gardening and maintenance work at Centenary House. Unfortunately Kevin was unable to receive his award at a Rotary meeting as the Club is meeting electronically at the moment. Staff and volunteers present were happy to congratulate Kevin on being recognised by the Rotary Club of Morwell.

21.01.2022 Autumn is a lovely time in the garden and the grounds are looking great at Centenary House. Especially the amazing red leaves on this beautiful ornamental grape, it is one of two we have growing over a gazebo on the path to Latrobe Regional Hospital.

20.01.2022 Thank you to the Country Womens Association (CWA) Moe Branch for their donation of woolen rugs and other items to Centenary House. Some of the goods are used at the House and others are made available to our guests for a small donation. Pictured below are CWA members Thelma Morris and Rosemary Arthur with some of items donated.

15.01.2022 Centenary House would again like to acknowledge the support of Engie donating a solar system to Centenary House. The donation came about after the Hazelwood Power Station was used as a filming location for a movie last year. Our sincere thanks go to Engie Communications Manager, Lauren Carey who facilitated the donation. Lauren has recently resigned from her role and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours. The below article appeared in the Latrobe Valley Express recently and we hope the donation will have a significant benefit on Centenary House well into the future.

The project was coordinated by the Rotary Club of Drouin, with members of the club erecting screens along the drive at the back of the property.
