21.01.2022 Hi everyone As we are all aware Regional Victoria moves back into Stage 3 restrictions from Thursday August 06. Tennis has an important role to play in helping ...people be active in this new phase of the COVID-19 Pandemic, as long as Government restrictions are adhered to and public health and safety is considered a top priority. The Drouin tennis club is able to remain open for our members to have a social game. The clubhouse will be closed, toilet access will be available if Mark Stevens or Commitee are present. Coaching will run in line with all the current rules from Tennis Victoria. For any coaching queries you are welcome to contact Mark Stevens on 0417 140 763 Outdoor courts may remain open for the following: Outdoor tennis is permitted for two people. Doubles is permitted only with people from the same household Tennis lessons are permitted with a limit of two participants, in addition to the coach. Outdoor tennis facilities can host up to 10 patrons at a time subject to 1.5 metres distancing requirements (coaches can be in addition to this with a group maximum of 2 patrons per coach). All other programs and activity must cease until further notice Tennis equipment must not be shared A register of participant details that enter the facility must be maintained. We will be using the QR Code resource Visit safe to assist with participant tracking and encourage anyone visiting the Drouin tennis club to download the COVIDSafe app Participants 12 years and older must wear a face covering, unless an exemption applies. If you are doing strenuous physical exercise you do not need to wear a face covering but you must carry one with you. Strenuous exercise can include playing tennis. Please remember to sanitise your hands before and after play, please bring hand sanitiser with you. There will be hand sanitiser available if coaching or Commitee people are present Before you think about playing please stay at home if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days or have mild flu-like symptoms. If you are in a high risk health category, please consider whether you should be playing tennis at any time during this period, please do not take unnecessary risks.
