02.01.2022 Calling all Learn Local teachers and managers in Gippsland!

02.01.2022 Calling local artists!

01.01.2022 Adult community education providers, known as Learn Locals, are an important part of the education sector here in Victoria and are a critical part of the fabric... of our local communities. I’ve had the opportunity to visit a number of Learn Locals recently and I know that the training they offer changes lives. That’s why today it was great to visit Churchill Neighbourhood Centre along with ACEVic and Neighbourhood Houses Victoria to let them know that we're investing $2.56 million to increase the pre-accredited training subsidy rate by 10% in 2019. That means more funding to deliver the skills Victorians need to access further training or get a job. This builds on our earlier investment of an additional $5 million for the expansion of language, literacy and numeracy training at Learn Locals. The Andrews Labor Government values the role that Learn Locals play in making training accessible to all Victorians, particularly for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable in our community. Together we can work together to ensure that the unique training pathways that Learn Locals provide are protected.
