23.01.2022 Thank you again for your patience while we navigated the covid19 situation and what it meant for us all. We are now back to offering face to face appointments again. New clients are currently booking into Feb 2021, so if you need complex home modifications or equipment don't delay getting in touch with us.... We will also be offering functional assessments from 2021!



18.01.2022 Jessica has been with us for a few months now as a sub contractor. But let us introduce her to you... Jessica Bates (Occupational Therapist) was born in Traralgon and attended St Michael's Primary School and St Paul's Anglican Grammar School Warragul. Jessica moved to Bendigo where she graduated from Latrobe University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Occupational Therapy Practice in 2013. Shortly after graduating Jessica landed a job back home in Traralgon at... Latrobe Regional Hospital and moved back home. She has worked across a range of areas including inpatient and outpatient, both rehabilitation and acute settings across geriatrics and paediatrics. Jessica currently lives in Traralgon with her fiancé and two beloved dogs. She is hoping to be married in March this year and then will be moving to Leongatha in their newly built home. In her spare time Jessica enjoys spending time with her friends and family, walking her dogs, the gym, baking cookies and retail therapy. See more

18.01.2022 Although waiting periods to see a health professional in Gippsland can be frustrating, we truly are surrounded by some amazing professionals. If you have worked with any, or been a client/patient of an amazing health professional it’s time for your voice to be heard. Click on the link below to nominate a health professional you think deserves this recognition; both medical and allied health professionals.

18.01.2022 We are very excited to be opening back up to face to face visits shortly. However due to the increase in referrals and needing to reschedule all our appointments over the past 8 weeks, we are currently booking all new clients into November.



12.01.2022 We want to hear from you! We only have one more initial assessment (ie new referral) appointment left in May, and then we are booking into June. Would you prefer to know you have an appointment booked in that far in advance? Or be on a wait list where we only offer appointments 2-3 months in advance? ... On a side note, this just shows how many people in Gippsland require the services of an OT, if you know of any OTs looking for work please get them to contact us. We are looking bring a great new OT on board!

11.01.2022 HIRING! In exciting news, we are now able to offer a part time position to a suitable OT. We cover all of Gippsland for home based appointments for equipment, home modifications and therapy around ADLs. This is for both clients on a NDIS plan and clients on Home Care Packages. If you know of someone who may be interested, or are interested yourself, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. ... All levels of experience (new grads through to grade 3) are encouraged to make contact.

08.01.2022 Thank you everyone for your patience during the stage 3 restrictions. We are hopeful that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel and can recommence face to face appointments shortly. Whilst we are still taking on new clients for home modifications and equipment prescription, please be aware all new clients will be booked into 2021. We have had numerous new referrals during this second wave which has blown out our timeframes. Also watch this space for some exciting news shortly



05.01.2022 Hold the phone!!! We have several new OTs starting with us, which means wait times are down significantly. In particular, clients needing complex home modifications are now able to book in to see Suzy mid May! Two weeks ago we were inundated with referrals and the wait time for a home modification assessment was pushed out til the end of August. Over the next few weeks we will be introducing you to the lovely OTs you will come across when referred to Gippsland Occupational Therapy Services.

05.01.2022 In the past 6 months we have had over a hundred clients come through our service! Thank you to all of you for trusting us to assist you to achieve your goals and access the equipment and home modifcations you require to increase your indpendence and safety. We are currently booking into the first week of May, we have been inundated with referrals over the past two weeks and have now booked all of these appointments in. At this stage, we have no plans to close our books. Feedback from you is that you'd prefer to know your appointment time and day, even if it means waiting a few months. So this is the approach we are taking. If anyone requires an appointment, please do not hesitiate to get in touch.

03.01.2022 Happy New Year! We have had some exciting changes to our team so will be introducing you to some of them over the next few weeks. Whilst finding an occupational therapist in Gippsland continues to be challenging, we are continuing to recruit to ensure we can provide a fantastic service with minimal delays for your initial appointment. Suzy Young (Director and OT) grew up in Cowwarr and completed her schooling in Sale prior to moving to Geelong to graduate from a Bachelor of ...Occupational Therapy (with distinction) in 2006. Since graduating she has worked in the following areas: Occupational rehabilitation, inpatient hospital services, outpatient hospital services, as a support coordinator at the TAC, Regional Coordinator for the Victorian Paediatric Rehab Service (VPRS) as well as serving Gippsland’s occupational therapy needs privately, both for others as well as through GOTS. Although started many years ago, Suzy has solely been working with GOTS for 15 months and her knowledge, passion and rapport with clients has resulted in some fantastic outcomes. Suzy continues to provide services specializing in complex home modifications and equipment prescription (both complex and non complex). Suzy and her husband live in Traralgon and have a 5 year older daughter. In her spare time, Suzy enjoys gardening and keeping fit and healthy.
