09.01.2022 Many people have a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing a mask, so if you see someone who is not wearing a face covering, you shouldnt assume that they are not following directions. Info: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/face-masks-covid-19

08.01.2022 Today we celebrate our 1st anniversary of Gippsland Support Services. We would love to share our vision and how GSS was established on this day 12mths ago! With almost 20 years experience working in the Disability sector, our core beliefs were always based on inclusion, achieving desired outcomes and watching the people we support achieve their goals. ... Gippsland was relatively new to NDIS and was one of the last catchments to be released. As a coordinator I observed gaps in the region and identified we still have a long way to go to ensure every participant is having their needs met through NDIS funding. GSS quickly became a name that our community trusted. Our person centered approach to deliver flexible supports has enabled our participants to achieve their desired outcomes. As we grow, we continue to deliver our mission statement - Inclusion leads to growth, empowerment and equality. We would like to thank our valued participants and of course our wonderful staff. We hope to celebrate this special milestone with participants and their families in the very near future.

04.01.2022 From midnight this Sunday all Victorians will be required to wear a face mask when outside their home, regardless of where they live. Premier Daniel Andrews announced that from 11.59pm on Sunday, August 2, face coverings will become mandatory for regional Victorians. Gippsland Support Services can assist participants to claim face masks through their nominated self or plan managed funding.... We understand that this can be a challenging task to those who have sensory impairments. Our friendly staff at GSS are here to offer advice to participants and families in need of support.
