21.01.2022 Hi all! Hope the new year is going well. For the Moosic Muster Weekend we have extended our hours. Friday: 9am to 6pm Saturday: 8am to 4pm Sunday is as usual: CLOSED... This is an amazing community event which deserves to be supported to the absolute maximum. At the shop, we have soft drinks, ice creams, ice and EFTPOS facilities. Remember the muster has open mic on Friday night. Saturday there are music workshops. Saturday night there are concerts in the hall and the soundshell. At the soundshell there will be a gold coin donation for the CFA. Again, get behind this community event. See more

20.01.2022 Please note that today until 11am in Girgarre, there will be COVID19 testing in the hall car park.

20.01.2022 Bendigo Health will have a Covid19 testing site at the Girgarre Memorial Hall, Monday 2 November, 10-11am. Their team complete Covid 19 Testing in both outbreak... and routine screening situations, they also offer a small Pop-Up testing service to the smaller rural communities in the Loddon, Gannawarra, Campaspe, Buloke, Mt Alexander and Central Goldfields Shires. The aim of these Pop-Up Screening Clinics is to offer testing to those communities where testing is not easily available without a lengthy drive. They understand that not all members of these communities will feel comfortable to come to the bigger centres for testing or indeed have easy access to transport, so they wish to offer this service into each community as they can. The testing they will offer the community is for those with Symptoms of the Corona Virus (Symptomatic), but they are happy to have a conversation with anyone in the community who may be concerned about the Virus and discuss the best way forward with them.

17.01.2022 Easter is fast approaching which means Good Friday is too. Due to Coronavirus, the local CFA will not be able to door knock so they have set up a 'virtual tin'. If you wish to donate, follow the link below. Please also keep in mind that Girgarre Post Office also has a tin sitting on the counter. https://fundraising.virtualtinshake.com/Girgarre Stay safe guys!

12.01.2022 A reminder that we will be closing at 4PM tomorrow (24 December) and will reopen on Friday December 27. We will be open from 10AM until 12PM. The Fletcher family would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas

10.01.2022 We would like to remind everybody of our new business trading hours as a result of COVID-19. Monday to Friday: 9am to 12pm. 1pm to 5pm. Between 12 and 1, we will be our lunch break. This is due to face masks and sanitising requirements. Saturday’s we are CLOSED. Newspapers will be available in the white box out the front of the shop. If you have an ordered paper for Saturday’s, they are in a white mailing tube with your surnames written on them. These can be collected from a crate. Also note, we need those tubes back for future weeks. Please also remember, if you are feeling unwell, do not enter the shop; stay home. Also remember to wear face masks upon entry. This is to prevent the spread of COVID. Stay safe everyone!

09.01.2022 Hi all. Quick update for Girgarre Post Office and Newsagency. 1. Due to new government regulations, anyone entering the business must be wearing a face mask. Anyone exempt from this will have to show a medical certificate. 2. Just as the government has been saying, if you are feeling unwell, please get tested for COVID19. We are a small community with an ageing population so we want to keep everyone as healthy as possible. Until you get those results back, stay home. 3. As o...f Monday 10th August, we will once again be closed for lunch (between 12 and 1). This is to ensure our safety and reduce cross contamination. We understand these are hard times and just like you, we are frustrated that we have once again been thrown back into Stage 3 Restrictions but, by doing the right thing, hopefully our lives can resume to some kind of normalcy. Stay safe and healthy. We got this! See more
