24.01.2022 In addition to our new stallholders, we are also excited to welcome back all stallholders, including (but not limited to) .. Sweetsisters Bamawn Renzo’s... Fresh Fruit & Vegetables Goulburn Valley Pork MPR Produce Lisadurne Hill Olive Oil Beavo’s Honey Artisans Breads Sophie’s Succulents Colleens Crafts Echuca Metal Sculptures Ray, the Moccasin Man Peter Buckley Woodwork You may notice that your favourite stallholders are not in the same location as previous markets and while we will try and keep everyone as close to the location you are familiar with, satisfying safe social distancing between each of the stalls is our priority and important for ensuring our future markets. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday with your masks on and, if you can, think about doing your bit for the environment by bringing along your own shopping bags.

13.01.2022 What a week at Girgarre Community Kindergarten for Children's Week! A few highlights for the week included * Halloween dress-up day. Children had a day immersed... in hands-on sensory activities including slime, black bean and even a Halloween style Olympic games with broomsticks! * Children created a spiderweb with a ball of wool. A group time activity that was taken outside to create a spider web again ..... and again! * We visited Unwin Street Preschool four year old group and educators via a zoom session. We played the green and red paddle game. Educator Robyn (from Girgarre) asked various questions to both kinder groups and the children held up either a green paddle (for yes) or a red paddle (for no). Who knew there was an educator Robyn at both kindergartens? . Educator Sue read a story book before an impromptu tour of the Girgarre Community Kindergarten playroom. It was a busy but a great week!

10.01.2022 Covid19 testing, dates and times.
08.01.2022 Bendigo Health will have a Covid19 testing site at the Girgarre Memorial Hall, Monday 2 November, 10-11am. Their team complete Covid 19 Testing in both outbreak... and routine screening situations, they also offer a small Pop-Up testing service to the smaller rural communities in the Loddon, Gannawarra, Campaspe, Buloke, Mt Alexander and Central Goldfields Shires. The aim of these Pop-Up Screening Clinics is to offer testing to those communities where testing is not easily available without a lengthy drive. They understand that not all members of these communities will feel comfortable to come to the bigger centres for testing or indeed have easy access to transport, so they wish to offer this service into each community as they can. The testing they will offer the community is for those with Symptoms of the Corona Virus (Symptomatic), but they are happy to have a conversation with anyone in the community who may be concerned about the Virus and discuss the best way forward with them.
