25.01.2022 First gig in a year coming up in April @ Chapel off Chapel with some good friends for Goddess Grooves as part of Midsumma. Haven't picked up my guitar in a long time or done much singing other than in the shower so I've got some work to do to get fit. Hope I can remember my songs

25.01.2022 Lockdown 3.0 on steroids. Stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne, 8pm curfew & more. Please keep each other safe & well.

22.01.2022 Picked up my guitar for the first time in a long while. It was a weird feeling, I felt like I was catching up with an old friend yet didn't really have anything to say. We tried small talk for a bit & came to a mutual agreement to try again another time in different circumstances

22.01.2022 A little 'Wishful Thinking' seems appropriate right about now...

21.01.2022 It's an interesting time for many musicians. Having taken a step back from music I thought I'd be in the minority with many finally getting round to all their unfinished projects but I've discovered much of my musical family are feeling the same as I. Good to know I'm not alone.

21.01.2022 As lockdown eases it saddens me how quickly people seemingly become less willing to consider those around them in favour of personal freedoms over the wellbeing of their community. We still need to be kind to each other though one would've thought that's a no brainer for any time

21.01.2022 Really happy to be included in this 'Chart-Topping' playlist. Check it out. They've added a favourite.

19.01.2022 Being in lockdown enabled me to rediscover long neglected aspects of my life with no inclination to play music or write songs. I've felt an increasing relief from the pressures of performing & all that goes with it. As life re-emerges so does the anxiety of returning to what was.

19.01.2022 Picked up my guitar for the first time in a very long time when I caught up with a couple of songwriter friends on the weekend. Couldn't really recall chords to many songs & my hands hurt so much but I also felt a spark of joy & remembered how much fun it is just to play.

19.01.2022 It's Lockdown 2.0 in Victoria & I'm heartened to see some enterprising artists creating masks, our latest Covid accessory. I hope those who have been so cavalier in the past take heed this time & instead think about the greater good. We need to be kind & take care of each other.

18.01.2022 Hoping all my international friends are staying safe and well as the cold settles in the Northern Hemisphere. Wishing you and your loved ones joy & good health in 2021. Be kind to each other out there it's the only way we'll overcome.

17.01.2022 Just a quick note to touch base with everyone. For those of you who don't know Melbourne is in Stage 4 Lockdown which means we can only leave the house for essentials - food, medical care, exercise for 1hr per day and work and there's a curfew between 8pm and 5am. I'm grateful that my loved ones are staying well even though I haven't seen them for quite a while, we talk on the phone though none of us have much to report. I'm still not playing music and haven't picked up a gui...tar for more than a few minutes in the last 6mths or written any new songs. There have been some sparks of ideas but they've quickly extinguished along with my interest. It was really bothering me that the very thing I'd always relied on to get me through dark times had abandoned me but then maybe I'd abandoned it. Many of my peers are hosting online concerts, releasing new songs, co-writing and feeling incredibly creative however I've discovered that just as many others are feeling like me which is a little lost and wondering how the world is going to look after Covid. I've decided not to worry about things beyond my control but rather to focus on what I can do now which is spend more time with the love of my life and my 2 cats in my garden. I'm thankful every day that I have that choice to make. I hope you're all staying well and finding art and beauty in your days. Go well, Michelle See more

17.01.2022 Wishing you all a happy new year with the hope that 2021 will bring joy & good health & we'll soon see the end to Covid & all that it brought with it.

16.01.2022 My song 'Two of Us' talks about finding an island & getting away from it all. Could do with that right now.

16.01.2022 This Thursday night @ Chapel off Chapel I'm performing with good friends @ Midsumma's Goddess Grooves. Dusted off my guitar & vocal chords & been rediscovering my songs. It'll be fun. Tix: https://www.midsumma.org.au//goddess-grooves-chapel-prese/

15.01.2022 Going to be a great night. Get your tix & join us.

14.01.2022 Really looking forward to sharing the stage with Michelle Parsons - Musician, Jo Jo Smith & others for this show. Hope to see you there.

13.01.2022 Not long now, getting excited Chapel off Chapel is such a lovely venue to play. Hope to see you there. https://www.facebook.com/events/281937643327907 https://www.midsumma.org.au//goddess-grooves-chapel-prese/

09.01.2022 Posted a new song: "Faith" https://www.reverbnation.com/q/7pj8h9

07.01.2022 Stage 4 Lockdown seriously messing with my head. Major case of Groundhog Day without the piano lessons!

05.01.2022 Melbourne is opening up finally & creatives around me are joyous at the prospect of gigging again, yet I remain ambivalent. My guitar is a stranger, my voice meekly rasps out a tune behind the safety of the shower curtain but is mostly silent. Is this is the new normal for me?

05.01.2022 ReverbNation keeps prompting me to 'add a show'. For some reason I thought it hilarious & had a good chuckle. I think I've been away too long.

01.01.2022 Picked up my guitar for a little bit last night. That's progress!
