25.01.2022 We had such an epic time at our annual #GBF Chrissy party and AGM. Huge congratulations to all the trophy winners and to Celina for the all around top member award!! Thanks for an awesome year, #gurfers! A warm welcome to our new committee members and thanks to the other committee girls staying on. We’re excited to hear about all the fun, new ideas everyone has for the club. Our first meet for 2020 is Sunday 16th February. Thanks girls and have a happy Christmas and New Year. 09.01.2022 The Lifeline Northern Beaches Classic is returning to Queenscliff Beach on 29 March 2020 and #GBF has proudly entered to help raise as many donations as possible toward suicide prevention. Suicide is having a sobering impact on the Northern Beaches. Every year, Lifeline’s call centre receives thousands of calls from people facing all kinds of issues: domestic violence, grief, depression, abuse. Our volunteers offer all the support they possibly can but in 2018 alone, there... were still 30 suicides a year in our immediate community. That’s more than one suicide every fortnight. Lifeline is working hard to keep afloat but they can’t do it alone and YOU can make a difference by simply supporting us paddling out. Last year, locals banded together to raise over $63,000. Let's beat this! GBF is aiming to raise $5,000 for our team. Our four #gursurfers paddling out are Jacqui, Lani, Anna and Tess. Below is the link to help us raise funds for this great event.
