09.01.2022 Update from Caitlyn's UN Adventure: In March of 2020, I was looking forward to representing the Girls Brigade Pacific Fellowship at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Around 48 hours before flying to New York City, the UN Secretary-General in consultation with UN Women made the decision to scale back the conference, resulting in the GB Presentation being cut from the conference. It has been a very different year to what I expected, but I have some news that... I am excited to share with you. The United Nations has made the 2021 March UNCSW Conference a virtual event and I am attending as an official delegate, representing the GB Pacific Fellowship. In team with women from around the world, I will be speaking on gender equality issues and bringing a Christian perspective to the diversity of voices uniting for change. I look forward to sharing this unique (socially distanced) United Nations experience with you! #GenerationEquality See more
07.01.2022 Our own Caitlyn is an international voice for young women. Using spoken word, drama and presentations, young women from Australia, Nigeria, UK and Zambia will share how they are overcoming injustices by advocating to shatter mental health stigma, improve girls’ access to education, end gender-based violence and eradicate gender-specific persecution. Through mentoring and equipping facilitated by Girls’ Brigade, these women are making transformational change locally and globally demonstrating how engaging young women of faith is critical in ensuring the successful implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and gender justice. You can follow & watch the discussion by checking out the latest news on the gbworldwide website.
