23.01.2022 Primary Book Week Parade is such a fun event on the school calendar. In line with this year's theme we saw 'curious creatures and wild minds' along with some old favourites attending classes on Friday.
23.01.2022 Our Year 810 Food and Textiles assessment for this term is all around a themed Food Truck. Students have been investigating and analysing options for their ideas such as creating a menu, logo, location and flyer. All students then created one dish from their menu. Over two weeks, 58 RGGS students produced many inspirational and complex dishes. We have some really skilled and talented students that show a passion for cooking.
23.01.2022 As part of their Year 12 Chemistry class, students performed a prac on Half-cells and the table of standard-electrode potentials. The girls worked in pairs to construct 6 electrochemical cells and record the voltages generated then compare them with the actual values consolidating the processes of oxidation and reduction (REDOX).
23.01.2022 The school was full of excitement and bright colours for our annual end of year School Party. 22.01.2022 This year, Girls Grammar commenced a Primary Enrichment Club, designed to engage highly capable primary students from Years 2 to 6 in project-based learning. This has allowed students to build depth in a subject of personal interest that is not covered within their classroom learning. The opportunity to work with like-minded individuals has supported their building of peer relationships, teamwork and group skills. Today, each of the girls presented their research topics to their peers and their parents.
21.01.2022 During semester 2 the year 5/6 students were given the task to create a percussion instrument. The design needed to be original and the end product needed to be functioning. Well done girls on some amazing creative designs and ideas.
20.01.2022 Physics is amazing and so much fun! said 19 RGGS girls as they headed into the bowling alley yesterday. The visit was part of their term four Science unit on forces and a morning of bowling was their final assessment. They were given two games each to bowl and they had to annotate a scientific diagram explaining all the forces at play. Discussions were had about the shoes they had to wear and why, the oily polished surface of the bowling alley and the ball hurtling down to knock over the pins. All in all it was a great morning with plenty of fun and learning to be had!

At the completion of the task, all students must describe the energy transformations involved and how they act, as well as present their idea in an engaging way, reporting on their findings via journal and formal Audio-visual presentation.
