06.01.2022 Giro d'Canberra will not be running on the 23rd of February 2020. The Orroral bush fire in the Namadgi National Park has crossed Corin Road. At this stage we do not foresee that the Orroral Fire will be controlled by Sunday the 23rd of February. We are currently working on being able to announce a new date latter in the year. Any riders not able to ride the new date will be refunded their entry fee.
06.01.2022 Dear Giro d’Canberra Rider As you would be aware with the recent Orroral bush fire in the Namadgi National Park we had to postpone the Giro d’Canberra from its original date of Sunday the 23rd of February. The Rotary Club of Woden Daybreak has been working hard on finding an alternative date and we were working on a date in March. However, the the Namadgi National Park is not yet fully open and recent heavy rains has resulted in debris on Corin Road and other roads on the ...course. With the ongoing uncertainty about access to the route of the ride and as Rider safety is our number one priority we are not able to set a new date for Giro d’Canberra 2020. We regrettably have to announce we are cancelling the Giro d’Canberra for 2020. A separate email will be sent to all riders offering the following choice: 1. Full refund of entry fee. 2. The ability to donate what the Rotary Club of Woden daybreak receives from the event booking site as a donation to The Rotary Bush Fire appeal. 06.01.2022 We are looking forward to being able to announce the new 2020 date next week on Wednesday the 19th of Feb.
05.01.2022 Get some tips in to fine tune your training before this years Giro d’Canberra.
05.01.2022 Unfortunately we are still not able to confirm a new date and at this stage we feel we are going to have to call it off until 2021. We will make a decision over the next week. The recent heavy rains have added other issues and we still do not have the road open all the way to Corin Dam.
