25.01.2022 We have just received our 3rd batch of chooks, bringing our numbers up to 900! They have already started laying, so we now have more eggs than ever, so we are looking for markets and more commercial outlets to sell them at.

18.01.2022 Looking forward to Geelong Farmers Market this Saturday! We also had Essendon Market 2 weeks ago, and we are doing raging business there:)

18.01.2022 Had bucket loads of rain in the last few weeks, and the grass has sprung up amazingly! You can really see where the chook sheds have been, theres massive patches of grass standing half a foot tall and looking greener than you can possibly imagine. AS you can see, the chooks are having a great time hanging out with the cows and pecking around in the hay, even though they're not meant to be in that paddock! They're getting a bit too free range, everywhere you look there is a chook scratching in the dirt, but thats not necessarily a bad thing:)

12.01.2022 Making our hens as safe as possible while still allowing them ample room to roam and scratch is paramount to us. Each shed has two maremma dogs living with it, who are all fantastic at guarding the girls from any prying wildlife. Alongside the dogs we have added an electrified mesh fence, this ensures any wildlife stays out, and keeps the girls even safer. Our newest family member ‘Lexi’ isn’t quite confident enough to get in the sheds just yet but is happily watching the chickens from the safety of the buggy. She’s getting more inquisitive everyday and learning to love the freedom of farm life.

11.01.2022 Had a fantastic day at Essendon Farmers Market, selling out at 10:30!! not bad for a first time:) We also have Marysville market tomorrow morning.

02.01.2022 Been very busy with markets recently, especially over the Easter long weekend! We haven't quite convinced the chooks to lay chocolate eggs yet, but will keep trying!! We now sell our eggs at Marysville Market, Taggerty Four Seasons Market, Emu Plains Market in Balnarring, and Mirboo North Market. We may also start selling at the new Frankston Farmers Market which is starting up in a few months time.

02.01.2022 The hens are loving the warmer weather we’ve been experiencing this week and are really starting to pick up their laying. As a result of COVID our usual restaurants are running at a lower capacity so we are now able to offer our eggs to the wider community. We thought we’d share how our eggs are collected in some of our sheds. As you can see the hens have multiple nesting boxes available to them at all times and we go through and collect the eggs at around midday daily.
