19.01.2022 Winter in girraween garden is a bit drab with all the trees bare. This week the red hot pokers have come I to bloom to add a touch of color. We are still in drought so many of the plants have struggled from lack of water.
17.01.2022 Last month the garden beds were vibrant yellow and white with daffodils, jonquils and snow drops. This Month Purple is the predominate color with irises, wisteria, petunias daisies and columbines. The shades of purple throughout the garden against the green is stunning and makes the garden pop.another week and the roses will be blooming and the colour in the garden will change again, cant wait ,Spring is a very exciting time at Girraween Gardens

17.01.2022 With spring well on the way to summer Girraween Gardens is blooming. We have been working hard to prune fertilise and mulch our roses trees and shrubs. We are looking each day to the skys for rain. It just keeps missing us. Here are a few pics of the garden.
16.01.2022 We are very grateful for all the rain that has greeted our garden and filled the tanks. My garden is in full bloom. The Roses are spectacular. All the rain has also made the weeds flourish so I am out in the garden every day trying to tame the weeds. But I always stop to smell the Roses.
12.01.2022 thought you might like to see the wisteria arbor which has cascades of blooms hanging down from the arbor. Inside the arbor the smell is strongly perfumed and the the sound of the bees is very loud as they buzz around the blossoms.
10.01.2022 beautiful cloud formations over Girraween Gardens
10.01.2022 We are in the process of extending the garden to include a fragrant garden and herb garden. First step is to build a retaining wall. Alex (my son) in his spare time has been collecting the rock off the property and constructing the wall. Its starting to take shape and will be a great feature in the garden when it is finished.
10.01.2022 Our driveway at Girraween Gardens has a long row of snow gums with very white trunks. However at this time of year they are dropping bark and the trunks have very distinctive orange/brown streaks up the trunks. It has inspired me to paint them. Will post the picture when I finish the painting.
