People will be assisted to take more control of their lives and to better manage complex challenges of day to day living.... 12.01.2022 Matthew is 30 years old. He lives with Cerebral Palsy, and intellectual and physical impairments. When COVID-19 hit, Matthew’s mum Amanda stopped his supports. Matthew is at high-risk for complications if catching the virus. It was too risky. COVID-19 disconnected Amanda and Matthew from their community. Amanda researched many online activities. 11.01.2022 Joanne felt isolated during the 2020 lockdown. She was searching for a lifeline to break the boredom and connect her with the outside world. She discovered Connecting Couches. Joanne started drumming. She loves socialising with the other participants. Joanne has even bought her very own drum! She has also made plans to meet up with some of her new friends. . While Connecting Couches is on pause, the friendships made are going strong!
